Result of the comparison:
- The Mobi 2 has become slightly larger, but this is hardly noticeable visually.
- I think you look more could have come up with the design of Mobi 2. He looks a bit for a plastic-no-name speakers. Since the Mobi 1 with the silver ring and the high-gloss finish is somewhat successful.
- Whether you need Bluetooth or not should depend on which device is connected to the Mobi 2. With a simple mobile phone, it may be that the sound of the cable is better. Or that the slightly increased power consumption arises. It may also be that a weak mobile jerky or the sound comes at different times.
With a high quality mobile phone (I use currently the HTC One M8) is Bluetooth the better alternative. One can walk around with the cordless phone and the sound is with me over Bluetooth even better and louder.
- What I would have liked that the Mobi goes into standby mode when no input signal after a while.
- The open-close mechanism is partly hakelig even with this. Pressing me, the metal mesh is pressed after about four weeks. So handle when opening and closing the edge better.
- The on-off switch (is broken me in Mobi 1 times) now has three positions: on / off / Bluetooth
- The rubber feet I recommend stick as they come off very easily.
- Battery Life: The Mobi 2 has played with me before nearly 24 hours straight softly. Super!
- Sonically it's not easy to spot a winner. The Mobi 1 has better treble and midrange. Voices heard more directly on (among other things interesting for audiobooks). For the Mobi 2 has increased in the bass range and it sounds like a total of effortless / sovereign / adult. The latter is also the reason why I tend to find Mobi 2 bottom line sound better.
Tip: feel free to experiment with the site. The phonetic differences are partly considerable.
In the hotel room, for example, he likes it in the bathroom and furniture / shelves that provide a sound box.
From my side: Two thumbs up!
