I was, before starting this book, a little curious how this excellent writer would choose the style of its plot; because the subject (or theme) is not new, there-was he going to have a déjà read? Well, no, not at all: the famous "Times" calls this book "page-turner of a rare intelligence" and I absolutely agree. GM, in recent years the subject of debate with his critics and his supporters: but when it comes to human genes, the problem is that "highly sensitive" will not give her children carriers of genes potentially fatal diseases, c is a priori a laudable and understandable goal. John and his wife Naomi Klaesson lost their only son at the age of 4 years following a rare genetic disease and both parents were carriers, both of said disease gene (Dreyens-Schlemmer). Therefore, they do not hesitate to entrust their fate (and that of their offspring especially) to a geneticist who claims to know a "method" that will spread the risk that autoimmune disease represents only they finally feel ready to rebuild the family they always wanted. Symptoms and agony of their deceased son are terrifying !! Unfortunately, throughout the novel, we realize that John and Naomi, certainly in an understandable goal, were wrong: see why in this novel which is spooky, and disclose the end would be absurd. This visionary geneticist has not told them everything and what will happen to this family is atrocious ... But stop, I said enough! Read this story, not so implausible as that. I still have chills of terror, really ...
