Unlike any other mobile phones

The flood of different mobile phones is hard to overlook. And Nokia Symbian phones have a bad press - why would you want to raise a lance for a Symbian phone?
To put it bluntly: I am neither a Symbian Nokia still a fanboy and also own an Android phone (Sony Xperia Neo) and my wife (Samsung Note 1). Nevertheless, I would like one or the other convince you that we are dealing with an excellent phone. Who wants to get involved so times on a different perspective, let him be invited to read further.

Let the question again, what you the quality of today's mobile phones through the moors us in common. Answer: the online ability overshadowed any other discussion. Networking with Twitter, Facebook, Google +. Accessing the weather or friends status. Access to Youtube, forums or blogs. To increase the online ability to display the receiving units are getting bigger, stronger. But what remains when a cell phone is NOT permanent online?
- Without an online connection no Google Maps, no Siri or whatever

The question arises, why one would want to have a cell phone without an online connection? I let times the price question left out, because in addition to the purchase price you have for a reasonable flat 10 euros per month to spend ... 120 euros per year. 11 Years Old, bright, cheerful, not brand contaminated. Without Facebook account without Twitter followers without Youtube Channel. Sure, my breeding also has notebooks; without no longer goes to the school. But what my children do with the notebooks, I know that. I really do not feel that these great kids dumpfbackigen already with 11 years, mutate socially disturbed nerds who anskypen her friends prefer instead to swing to's bicycle, and to meet people in real life. In short: yes phones, also liked good phones. But Internetflat no!

So, my 11-year-old children to have mobile phones with which they can really do something. Mobile phones with super hardware and many features. Right here the X7 shows its strength.
- Onboard Navi, so off - super suited to strip to the wheels through the woods (where they may anyway have not enough reception to access Google Maps)
- Hot FM Radio
- Enough memory on board, so you can save a couple of feature films on your mobile phone (also suitable for long road trips as a distraction)
- Great 8MP camera
- A clean tuned operating system, so that a 800Mhz processor brings an absolutely sufficient performance - and that in turn means that the smaller one can interpret the processor, the less current is drawn
- The same applies to the display's: very nice (I find the resolution far too low) - and some smaller displays mean ... well what? longer battery life
- Especially here is still the special display technology from Nokia mentioned that black pixels without power can - and I still get to talk
- And a stand-by, who also deserves its name! I always wonder why mobile phones actually are sucked empty in Standby ... hello? Are you crazy? Not so the X7. In standby, you can leave the mobile phone are eternal and the battery does (almost) nothing. Namely, even when Wi-Fi and GPS are on!
- Plus: nice capabilities for offline Daddeln (with radio speakers and a decent graphics processor)
- And all this at a very good price because Symbian phones will have hardly anyone

In my opinion, the hardware at this price is really top notch.

Now we come to Symbian. YES, Symbian dies. But that's for a children's cell phone important? The mobile phone is to function and it is not decisive that 50,000 apps run. The phone should now have all the features. What's in three, four or five years, not interested. Then buy my kids anyway new phones. And the software equipment leaves nothing to be desired, which can have a reasonably 11-year-old boy. I spend my youth these features:

Much of it is basic, some I have loaded free or trial in Nokia Store. Now comes still a very important software for Symbian phones: the Lockscreen software. I had already mentioned above that at Nokia black pixels do not need electricity. This has the nice effect that the lockscreen to use as info center high power conversion efficiency - so long as the majority of the screen is black. Result: for example the Nokia Sleeping Screen. The above facilities contains little to no chargeable additional apps or test or light versions. An "X-plore" is a great file manager with really creative ideas (for example, the multi-selection if one wipes over the column containing the file sizes). Since I like to pay the small amount.

However, there is only one way to pay Nokia Apps: with a credit card. In theory it should go well with the phone bill. But purely practical fails to the following:

- The phone provider has this option is not enabled

Well, at the end of the overdue Disclaimer: Of course, a X7 also this whole online Geeks. Facebook, Twitter, Shazam, Communicator, ... anything goes and corresponding apps are already installed. In Android 4.1, the lockscreen will be expanded. It should be planned with longer battery life and mobile phones. With Google Maps, there are first steps with Offline Maps.
