BOA what an atmosphere. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross is here sometimes resist an absolutely chunks succeeded. One should not make mistakes because, thinking "this looks and sounds like the OST to TGWTDT". Who does that has already lost. It is true that I had in some places to TGWTDT but think the two OST, s have a very different atmosphere. While TGWTDT almost continuously sounded like despair, anger and failure, the Gone Girl OST more gently even acts in some places reassuring and uplifting. But it should not be fooled, because it both understand these feelings above from one moment to the other to smash with a hammer and in perfection. While the OST TGWTDT it so doing gave a stopgap and the mood of the album always resist was interrupted by the fact that changes between sounds brutal and quietly-inspired tracks, the OST sounds of GG as a unified whole. Throughout the album there is a common thread of all times to travel Threatens draws but without losing tension. How it fits the film, I can not say because I have not seen in the album itself but WOW. Unfortunately, I must say that compared to the TGWTDT OST lacks real highlights. Tracks like "What If We Could?" "One Particular Moment" the umfasbar gloomy "She Reminds Me of You" or "People Lie All the Time" in vain. The OST draws its strength and fascination of the whole. Only by listening to the piece, a true greatness of this album is aware. For this I must say that you have a certain amount of love for the things of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross or albums like Ghost must have Nine Inch Nails to or to recognize in a Sin to absorb this mood in otherwise you already happening very difficult.
Anyone who has earlier OST, s is liked by TR and AR also here his special trip have all other I recommend before trying out a listen.
