1. Magisterium: Iron test (Paperback)

Customer Review

I have not the habit of talking about this kind of novels on the blog (as I adore that) because I have really hard to put into words all the emotions, all feelings running through me, to describe why the book is awesome without spoiler. But then, this is a real stroke of heart so I have not much choice and I must Marme courage and take me!

First, you must know that this novel was written for four hands: a pair owned by Holly Black (author of the Spiderwick Chronicles which are part of my wish-list), the other pair of hands being that of the author Cassandra Clare World The Mortal Instruments). What you may not know (except if you follow me on Facebook or Twitter), this is the series that I adore. Completely. Especially the spin-off, the trilogy Origins (with my little Willlllll damour). Volume 6 of The Mortal Instruments dailleurs out in VF in June and i really look forward to reading this episode (almost) final (two other spin-off series will emerge (for more info, I advise you to go on the blog Siham, The Hidden Faces dune Arrow, French reference No. 1 on the universe of Cassandra Clare).

Another important point to start with me, this is that I am a big fan mega Dharry Potter (and the word is weak). If you follow us on the blog, this is not really a surprise. Harry Potter, this is quite indescribable to say what the series means to me. I grew up with, together with itself, this is all my teens and jen stayed hooked. I read books easily two to three times a year and never tired men. This is timeless. In short, this is the Holy Grail Harry Potter, this is what it is best for me in the fantastic children's literature (and even adults).

And this first volume of my Magisterium recalled that javais so loved the first reading of the adventures of my favorite little sorcerer (and still much jaime). Lémerveillement front universe created lattachement for the characters, envy den more, know more and den that little something extra that makes quon quon know is reading a marvel that can become an inescapable and unforgettable series.

Cal is not a teenager like any other. His mother died WHEN IT was a baby and this is his father who raised and who prepared all his life to the day that he effort is poised to live: the entrance to the famous test Magisterium, the school that trains mages. But he did not prepare for success but rather that this is a dismal failure: it is important not to Cal either send it, the school is too dangerous DAfter his father and he must do everything to fail at each event. What he tried to do. Quil tried to do too much. Despite himself, he will have to integrate the Magisterium (with sen aim to exclude as quickly as possible). Except that once there, certain events, certain revelations will change everything. And I say no more, for you to read if you want to know more!

First, talking about the Magisterium. Jen still have eyes full of stars so this place is beautifully created (and totally surprising) (as a Hogwarts) (but it is totally different!). It is really attractive, hypnotic, dark, funny too, and we DONT want quune: go there to visit (but with some trepidation). But I'm sure we're not at the end of our surprises and that our two authors have not just revealed to us.

Then come the characters which I already greatly attached. One senses to create a true group of friends but then again, with the latest twists in the novel, I do not know what to rely. The trio that emerges seems really hard and promised great things but I'm sure we have not yet all the cards in hand.

Holly Black and Cassandra Clare were certainly inspired by Harry Potter (I must me information on it) but they have created their world alone and especially their history. While some similarities exist, everything else is so different that it is the world, and especially the magic main intrigue. And what a story! They mount completely rolled in flour, I mattendais anything but that. They perfectly begin their series of 5 volumes (like the 5 years at Magisterium?), Putting all the elements in place, reserving nice surprises and above, trapping us in a beautiful spider web. I havent quune haste read more!

Carnagement Yours,
Melwasul
