Judgment after 9 months use: Good entry-level device

Although I count myself among the passionate coffee drinkers (I enjoy several times a day my cappuccino, at home as well as happy and often go in the cafe / bistro or with friends), this is my very first fully automatic espresso machine, which I can call my own.

Each hesitates so much money on a fully automatic espresso machines I can spend only assure you it is worth the taste absolutely. I really want my daily cappuccino not want to miss, and also all my guests are fully convinced of the taste. Meanwhile, I love the sound of grinding espresso beans and the associated smell, the little machine is one of my favorite household appliances and not be without me.

Now as a decision aid if the device can be easily integrated into the kitchen, I would first like to introduce some degree of Krups espresso machines:

Width: 26 cm
Depth: 32 cm
Height without beans top 31 cm + 4 cm for the coffee beans top = 35 cm

Maximum cup height: 12 cm

What is striking is that the device compared with other fully automatic machines is pleasantly small. However, one should note that the water tank is back to the unit, and one takes this up and the water can pour from above still need. Therefore, it becomes difficult if the device is under a high cabinet.
The coffee / espresso beans are filled up in the tray, and here it would be very difficult if the device would dirket under a high cabinet.
The pulp container (for "coffee cake") is taken left side, here you need at least once 9cm space to the left.

Appearance:
The unit has a white plastic front (in the picture it looked to me as if the front silver) that can be integrated into any great ambience. It scores with its compactness and through the transparent coffee bean container in which to make the coffee beans already alone by their visibility Looking Forward to Next coffee. Well I also like the combination of a white front and black body and the good contrasting black buttons and controls.

Instructions:
The manual consists of only several unlabeled little picture, there is no detailed instruction manual for this device. Ensprechend difficult and complicated it was for me as a beginner to understand what the little picture for signify now. The operation of the device, if one is familiar with Kaffeevollautomaten probably intuitive, but is designed this guide for a beginner as little edifying impertinence.

Service:
When you get the hang time is the operation of the machine really very simple:
The device has a grinder for coffee beans (unfortunately you can not have coffee from powder to prepare). It has three settings for the grind of the beans can be selected with a rotary wheel, how much coffee you want (between 20ml and 220ml) and has a button with two settings to regulate if the coffee / espresso will be more strongly or more weakly.
A light indicates when the unit (preheated) is ready for operation. (I find phenomenally fast), only the pre-heating takes takes 40 seconds.
A light indicates when the unit should be decalcified (there is special anti-limescale), another light indicates when you want it through the self-cleaning mode of the machine (it is required special cleaning tablets). A lamp indicates when you should empty the pulp container (these sums 9 servings). A final light indicates when the water has to be refilled.

Yes, and then there's the Milchaufschäumdüse. Unfortunately, in my eyes is not really usable (fortunately I have an external milk frother, and therefore do not need it), because:
* It is very unstable simply aufgsteckt only a rubber seal
You must be (for which there is no storage) cleaned after each use by a tiny Drates
You funtioniert with me just not (I am an enthusiastic and long-term milk froth connoisseurs and have therefore already tried diverse Aufschäumarten and met). No matter what I use milk (also 1.5%), with this die I only get one immediately coincident in to foam. I can not judge whether it is because of my disability, but for me this Milchaufschäumdüse is useless.
* In addition, it is extremely difficult to position a cup under the rotary nozzle

For the milk froth I will therefore still using my external frother which works great and just makes a unique and ingenious milk foam.

Taste:
The taste of the prepared espresso is really outstanding, which for me is an absolutely unique experience. Preparing espresso at home in the same quality as in a high quality cafe / bistro is awesome. Depending on the type of bean used can be individually nor vary the taste experience and adapt it to your own preferences. I am still in the experimental stage and my enthusiasm is indescribable (From pure taste forth the Krups machine would more than five stars give).

CONCLUSION:
A taste wirkich superior fully automatic espresso machine, which scores with its compact size and its ease of use, however, in my opinion, has a poorly functioning frother. I love my little espresso machines and would like to give it a purely emotionally more than five stars. Unfortunately, the frother works for me not so good and the instructions are very confusing for a beginner, so I have to deduct a star, but an absolute "Recommended" under the assumption that you can lather his milk otherwise.
