At first I was skeptical to buy the clock because some points were read in various forums and also here that made me suspicious.
I want to describe these and briefly write what I do not like, because the clock is otherwise really good and it may be that already help since the negative experiences here Updates for better function.
Thus, it is not boring, here shortly my experiences, like you can also ask questions such as in the comments!
- I use the clock with a S5, I have no idea how it works with other mobile phones, as much as the first.
- The pulse is displayed constantly during training, not as often said only once or at fixed intervals
- My heart rate monitor (with chest belt) and the GearFit show almost always at the same pulse rate. Measurements with the fingers on the neck confirmed that the result is always ± 5 to 10%, agrees.
- Initially, the heart rate monitor too low (about 2 minutes) possibly it uses a moving average, ie rapid changes are delayed visible ?!
- To wear the clock right back with their finger on the pulse, made me the impression that the pulse is shown in more detail, but also with the clock at the top (normal wear) the 10% deviation from the chest strap are rarely exceeded. (I have some hair on the wrist possibly why?)
- It is true that sometimes the GPS route is not displayed on the S5. When the S5 restarts, it always works, my tip: Before briefly start the cycle training, this GPS is necessarily required. Starts the mode that mobile also records the route. I think if the S5 was longer on, works ever the tracking no, maybe there's an update. The mistake I once had the S3.
- Notifications and music control function 1A (canned responses can be adjusted in order to say to use via SMS without the phone)
- Something is stupid that the S5 always has with the training, because only here the GPS receiver in it, the clock does not own!
- I always turn the clock of all, if I do not need them. For me, the battery lasts so almost 2 weeks.
- The pedometer of the clock must be set explicitly on the phone. Training data, however, are transmitted directly after the end of training to the phone (Shealth)
- The display is too dark while walking, in fact, one can be difficult to read! Higher set values are reset to default.
- The audio guide of the phone does not go with the clock (bearable), but a mode is for running the individual pulse on the clock available, in my opinion, better than just to hear "You're almost done 90% great, keep it up"
- Sleep mode bit boring, the clock will show only the total time (stopwatch similar) and how often you have moved in his sleep. Ok technical borders ...
- Sometimes you have the player on the phone before opening so that the clock can control it, sometimes he goes by pressing "Play" on the clock itself on. The playlist should be chosen in advance on the phone.
Conclusion: I wanted music control and the Shealth app use without getting the phone out of his pocket. But the clock is suitable 1A. Easy Bluetooth and GPS (possibly even data) switch on the phone, everything is already set up and you control everything about the clock. The messages and appointments, calls are still displayed, is an added bonus for me. you can by the way the applications that send notifications in GearFit Manager select (eg eBay, PayPal ect ...)
I hope to have helped! If so, I would be glad about a "vote" click.

One can set the clock really. She does what she is; no more and no less!
199 has indeed no longer pay for it!
Greetings to all!
