I have the S5610 now been in use for a month and I am completely satisfied with it. But from the beginning: I had previously a Nokia 3310classic (thus still a classic keypad the phone) and in between for just over a year, the LG GW620 (with Android 1.5 and full-fledged QWERTY keyboard, Touch restistivem). In my experience with Android on the right slow and sluggish LG-part and the delimitation of what I really need, I have come to the following requirements:

Thus, even resigned from all current smartphones with Android, iOS and Windows Phone. In the immediate choice finally came the Nokia C5-00 5MP (about 120), the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type (130) and the Samsung S5610 (85). The C3-01 arbitration simply because of the touch screen rather quickly, since all the navigation just went over and I really did not want to have again.
Against the second Nokia I finally decided on the basis of some reviews and reports on the poor workmanship of the lid, for the Samsung due to the price.

Ordered, 2 days later wars since then the test:

Processing:
it is larger than most classical höger keys phones and also larger than many Android-Phone, the metal casing is very solid, the lid is super. Need to come to the micro-SD card to expand the cover down (a handle) and the card goes out without disconnecting the battery.
Supplement: If one takes out the card in operation, it sometimes happens that the camera surrounded their default location to internal memory - I have therefore been living the phone off when I take out the card, or I take anyway to via USB.

Battery:
Full charge of the battery takes up to 4 hours. Loaded is basically about the micro-USB connector, either the charger or the PC. The battery lasts me 9-12 days, where I have 3G turned off, very little on the phone, write it quite a lot of text messages and calls 2-4 times a day emails. If the MP3 player running 2-3 hours does that almost no effect on the battery.
Supplements: now 3G is always on, even the MP3 player running very much and I have to load about every 5 days, one uses the MP3 player via Bluetooth (with my car radio) is the quite on the battery.

Keyboard:
a good classic keyboard with good tactile feedback, but I would hope that the keys are a bit better separated (they are all smooth, no contour), the SMS write I Vertue me but sometimes. I'm curious how long the navigation key is doing so well, the Down key is by far the most commonly used. EMail:
The e-mail function is very primitive, but enough for me anyway. You can access POP3 or IMAP4 accounts, if I do not go all deceives multiple accounts. I use it with Gmail and IMAP4, all mail addresses run because together. You could set the client to regularly (up to 1 minute now) looks for new messages, but I have the disabled and upload the messages manually.
Confusing here is the naming: "Download" actually means "for new messages and if necessary Header Load", "Refresh" invites the news actually. By default, the client only loads the header of the message and the actual mail must be recharged by hand, that's ok for me because I actually read a few mails on mobile.
Deleting messages is resolved a bit weird, but I was used to it: It indicates the mode "when deleting only delete the phone" or "delete on server" - I use the former, otherwise each time you delete the messages on the phone a data connection is established, the mail is deleted on the server and you have to wait meanwhile. In addition (and now it comes): is a mail in IMAP mailbox deleted (eg via Gmail web interface), it is not cleared at the next update on the phone but stays there and the phone slowly fills with read mails (which is troublesome) , (I simply all messages marked on the mobile phone, deleted - in the mode "by server delete" - and then the mailbox was also at the server (and therefore at home on the PC) empty.)

Address:
Direct sync via the cloud is not, but with the help of Samsung Tools "gravel" I can address with Google Sync (phone via USB on a PC), I do it irregularly and am happy with it.
Complement (to reply to a comment): The synchronization with Thunderbird works on 2 detours (so I'm doing this very rare): On the one hand I synchronize the Thunderbird address book using the AddOn "Zindus" with my Google account. Then I sync (manually) using the Tools Samsung Kies the phone with my Google account. It is important: as long as the synchronization is running with gravel, Thunderbird must not run - the spark otherwise get in the way (what happened to me before).

Calendar:
Synchronization with Google is not, at least I have not found a way. BUT: I already want to see only dates (when and where is my nächser Uni-date), I have a workaround that fits well: calendar.google.com in the Internet browser, stay logged in Google, saved in the browser. Google will format the calendar page in the WAP-view so that you see the next 5-6 appointments quickly (what, when, where) and hence good enough for me. The calendar function of the phone I do not use.

Web browser:
The low-resolution display and the keyboard do not allow much, but until now it was enough. I use: Google Search (google.com), ORF News (orf.at/m), geocaching.com (pages appear correctly eg [...], but there is no interaction is possible).
I already Youtube links opened, it works, although you can see the video but hardly the sound is good. In some pages, it makes sense to look for it on Google and view in Google WAP view.

MP3 player:
I have at the moment about 6 or 7 GB of music on the card, the player will have no trouble, the sound quality of the headphone output is ok, the Tonualität the built-in speaker is even much better than expected. Problems make pieces are in their filenames umlauts, and do not work files whose name is longer than 72 characters.
Supplement: Playback via Bluetooth to a headset or car radio works fine, as long as you know 2 peculiarities: 1. running the player even during building up the Bluetooth connection is not switched to Headset output - you have to stop the player and new . USB port:
both the internal memory and the microSD card log on to PC for storage, are normally used. Not prevent the battery can store when the phone depends on the PC. Also keyboard and screen are blocked while it depends on the PC.

Data connection abroad:
Off general can not be the data link, but you get displayed when a connection is active. The connection is only established when you emails downloading / sent or if the Internet browser is opened. There is no data transfer in the background! Unless one takes this into consideration you will have no problems abroad.
