My personal subjective Positive / Negative List:
+ SmartWatch features especially Whatsapp SMS notifications, calls, appointments, etc. (tested with iPhone 5 iOS 8)
+ Water-resistant to 20 meters (Attention means you can take a shower with the Vivo Smart or even in the bathtub - I would not swim due to the pressure loads occurring - there would probably need 50 meters waterproof -. See also downside)
+ Media Player control for the mobile
+ Trace Cell Phone or alarm if you can be the phone (Bluethooth connection lost) - Somewhere I once read as negative point of the vibrating alert for this can not be silenced - here I recommend on the wristband then just turn off Bluetooth and if required re-enable ,
+ Pulse measurement with chest strap (here I would have liked a built-pulse measurement, but it is with belt Also Brian more accurate)
+ Measurement of movement during sleep (sleep depth)
+ Compact design
+ "Touch screen" operation with knocking or wiping gestures (no buttons / knobs)
+ Regular firmware updates from Garmin easily via Bluetooth
+ Many functions
+ No USB connector (waterproof) - but see downside
+ Long term on a single charge (between 5 and 7 days depending on the display and Bluethooth use)
+ Short charging time of about 2-3 hours
- Pulse not Bracelet - only additional chest strap
- Results of the pulse measurement is not in the Vivo Smart App (Connect) but additional App "MyFitnessPal"
- App "Connect" - is ok but others are of particular Jawbone "prettier" - here more businesslike and you have to understand the Dashboard concept only.
- "Only" 20 meters water resistant for swimming I would estimate probably 50 meters due to the pressure conditions.
- Display looks a bit blurry due to the incorporation in the bracelet
- Font partially very small in two-line display (no :-) I need no glasses)
- Touchscreen responds sometimes not (felt when the sleeve of your clothing is something about
- Media Player control something hakelig via touchscreen (see downside above) but ok
- Not all of the functions in the "Connect" app (pulse measurement) but only via additional "MyFitnessPal" app - so that connection to Apple iHealth
- App concept with "dashboards" to get used to
- App representation and evaluation relatively sober (as opposed to the bracelet "Goal" reports vibrates and fireworks shows)
- Bracelet closure rather hakelig and the included backup tape is in my view absolutely essential if you walk with the bracelet or moves heavily.
- Shop only on special USB cable with clamp unusual - but that's probably the topic of water tightness owed - but this is not a simple replacement for the charging cable possible (replacement cables I've seen for about 20.-)
- Notification of low battery very late (or not I notice the time) - but
All in all I'm very happy with the Vivo Smart.
