Normally I'm always too lazy to write detailed reviews, but as Sonos has me so excited and I am for years addicted to hi-fi hobby, I'm doing today times an exception. So far I had in the living room is a combination of Denon PMA 2000AE, DCD 2000AE and ELAC CL 142. The whole course fine wired, etc. But as I always in the kitchen or in the bathroom, when I nice the tub lay me over the crummy sound and the modest selection of local radio stations the plastic crates have gotten there, I have long been quite flirtatious with a multiroom system. Condition was access to streaming and most importantly, Internet Radio !! Sonos was me for a long time a term, and years ago I was in a very positive report on audio system. So far, I could not just struggle through the Denon to sell and buy a Sonos system. Condition for the acquisition of the Sonos was definitely that of ZP 120 my ELAC CL can be fired 142 floorstanding speakers neatly. Expected I have not much: How should this little box to replace a 23-kg cars ?? Impossible ... or? But the first test blew me formally. The small ZP 120 plays damn big. He has certainly not the pressure and the maximum volume of the Denon, but it sounds to my ELAC CL 142 by no means bad. Even later direct comparisons with a Harman amplifier brought no sound profit over the ZP 120. It is utter nonsense, when it is alleged, the ZP 120 acid unsuitable for large speakers. In any case, you have the size of the speakers absolutely nothing to do with the power demand. This is in practice even the other way round. The music comes from my NAS in FLAC format and Spotify. In the kitchen and bathroom, a Play Stands 5. What can this is sensational. Power just plain fun, more is not to say. In the hallway complemented a 3 play the system. Even the small can entertain a medium sized room without any problems. The decor was a breeze. The whole system was a 20-minute fully operational. Operation via SONOS CONTROL, Android Smartphone and tablet runs smoothly. Especially with the tablet on the couch makes it really fun !!!! I am truly astounded by SONOS. Finally hot sound in the whole house, synchronously in all the rooms and the 100% if required !!! The only downside: The standby power consumption is quite high ..... Here a power switch on the devices would be useful. I have solved the problem, as I have provided each device with a switchable socket. The devices only need about 30 seconds and then back on the grid. I can live with that. Conclusion: The system is really well thought out extremely what a notice very positive in the first few days. Somehow it fits just about anything and it just sounds awesome !!!!! I wish only beautiful, high-ended tower speaker SONOS. The technology is there and it can SONOS !!!!
