The Lumea Precision Plus is supplied in a practical cardboard, incl. Short- & long instructions, 3 articles (full-body, face and Bikinizonen- essay), storage bag, cleaning cloth, and a charging cable.
First you should deal seriously with the supplied instructions, since the Lumea not suitable for all skin and hair types. (This can also be seen from the outside of the box. So you can already save money if you heard about these skin or hair types.)
In addition, guidance is provided in the manual, when you should not use the device (for example, use of certain medications). Of course you will also find a very precise instructions on how the Lumea is to use and what preparations you need to take / should, and little tricks for easy success. Since the guide really very accurate and descriptive (incl. Pictures) is shown, you will be well prepared for the use of Lumeas.
The Lumea is by its shape (reminiscent of a travel hairdryer) very comfortable to hold. Of course he is a little heavier than when you are working with a lady shaver or epilator. Yet light enough to a long time to work with the device.
Battery life could be improved, as you can not create everything in one pass (armpits, calves & bikini line). (Whether the battery power for months or years even further subsides, I can not assess at this point, of course.
The various essays (full body, Bikinizonen- and face attachment) you are prepared for every hair on the body.
I started with the axillary part, since these should be treated fastest. For both sides, it takes a maximum of two minutes.
As described in the manual, should first be removed (by wet o. Dry shaving) every hair. Only then can be flashed (free of Deo and creams) on the dry skin. The application is really more than easy: the unit is turned on and the recommended flash intensity (u for your own skin type hair.) Is set. Now the device is (whether legs, underarms or bikini line) placed at a 90 degree angle to the game and have to be treated for the button flashes can be pressed. (It can also adjust the settings that the Lumea flashes at a certain distance without pressing the button.) Super I find that the unit will flash only when it really is snug against the skin. So it is not possible accidental flash burn the eyes.
In the moment when the Lumea settles the flash, heard a tone. In addition, the unit will become hot. (It does not hurt, but at first frightens you a bit.) If you have not shaved clean enough, it may be that there are some tweaks to the skin, which may already be quite uncomfortable to painful.
After his shoulders I'm gone over to the legs. For this treatment, you need a little time. But because the device as opposed to a epilator works very quietly and, unlike organized to grow no mess, you can perform the treatment comfortably in front of TV.
For the legs really, it is recommended to take a white eyeliner to help and to draw up lines at an appropriate distance (width of the paper). This makes it easy to overlook, where you have already flashed. Because unlike the conventional shaving one sees absolutely nothing on the skin, because the hairs were already removed in advance.
On the legs flashing is hard to remember, because the skin is smoother than in the armpits. However, the device is in time relatively warm (not hot). You can therefore continue the treatment.
According to instructions, an initial application with 2-week break is recommended. (More often brings no faster or better success.)
5 applications in 2 weeks apart are recommended only once to be rid of the hair. After a refreshing ranges every 5 weeks to maintain the success. (It is a treatment plan with, where you can submit it to the treatments. So you keep track of when it's time again.)
After the first three applications every 2 weeks I could not notice any success. Normally I would have been nervous at this point, but I know that it takes several treatments in the beauty salon, I've gone ahead and beautiful lo and behold, after the fourth treatment, the first decline in the hair hired. It's quite long and I've promised me a little more of the Lumea. However, one should mention at this point that set the successes in each at a different time (which can also be seen with reference to de other reviews). This really is probably due to the hair structure of each person.
Overall advantage:
Permanent removal of hair without pain (as is the case with the waxing or epilation. The skin is not irritated, so that you can point directly after the treatment leg. Without red stripes, bruising or strewn by pimples skin.
A general disadvantage:
After treatment with the Lumea should one avoid sun exposure. It is therefore advisable to start / winter treatment in autumn. Even before a holiday filled with beach visits, the treatment is eliminated. And just this time of year, or before the holiday you wish for smooth, hairless skin.
I myself find the Philipps Lumea Precision Plus in itself good, but would be careful with a recommendation, since the success (depending on skin & hair type) are apparently very different. (See other reviews)
The price of the device is quite high, but a permanent hair removal in the cosmetic studio is much more expensive and also here you need multiple treatments to the desired success.
Philipps Lumea Precision Plus is suitable for people who want a permanent hair removal and bring patience. All others who want instant results, then perhaps should still remain better epilation or waxing.
