Best Headphones - vulnerabilities have been eliminated! (UPDATE)

Let me start with a few words to the bottom of my purchase. Actually, I'm as far as the music on the go rather undemanding but since I'm a lot of walking and traveling on public transport for some time, is my music consumption "on the road" increased considerably. So far, I was very pleased with the headphones of my iPhone 5s, you sit quietly in the office they have a good sound, and work as perfectly with the iPhone but as soon as you are traveling, the weaknesses are clearly the headphones do not have a good hold in the ear and are in the long run even more uncomfortable to wear. For this reason I decided to treat my new headphones.

Full marks for sound, comfort and the fact that Sennheiser does the reviews of customers seriously and has improved product! The current model has an angled connector, Asymmetric cable management and the division sits on the remote control!

First Impression:
The headphones were delivered as usual, quickly and reliably packed. The packaging of the headphones I would describe as very neat. Somewhat confusing is the opening, on the one hand, the box opens downward and the other a knife or scissors is it needed as a "seal" must be cut.
If you have passed this small "test" slide the plastic packaging from the cardboard sleeve and can be opened. All the accessories located on the back in a separate "compartment" which is additionally secured against falling out, so nothing is lost when opening. But on the package itself, I have a tiny criticism, the cable and the 3 essays (which are fixed for demonstration purposes in the front) are too tight, just the cable could be damaged when pulling quickly here. I tried the cable through push out to release from behind carefully worked out well. In the essays, it is not quite so simple, here you have to actually apply some force, luckily all 3 pieces have remained intact.

The supplied accessories will be clear, in addition to 2 different types of essays in each 3 sizes are the headphones still a simple but elegant small pocket, a "cable reel" (as always is to work) and a cable clip in.

"Start-up":
To use the headphones, it is at the beginning necessary to find the right papers. I have been experimenting for a while and am ultimately end up in the standard articles of middle size, ie those which are fitted as standard. If you've never used in-ear headphones, you should take some time to adjust and check especially the correct fit of the headphones. In my opinion, the onset of in-ears is easiest by the ear with your finger slightly backwards / pulls up and the headphones gently rotate the ear canal. Simply Pressing the headphones into due to excessive pressure, that is, first, uncomfortable and is permanently plug in not good for the diaphragm of the headphones, you can hear that too often the same, the membrane "cracks" when.

To find the right attachments, you should easily compare this, noting that with music because with in-ear headphones the right seat is essential next to the comfort above all to the sound! Are the headphones less than optimal, they sound not good. As I said I have remained as they have the best fit for me, the essays with 2 slats were a bit better but unfortunately they are also a bit harder from the noise isolation ago and feel uncomfortable after a while just to in the normal essays.

The cable routing of the headphones is done asymmetrically, ie the cable to the right ear is performed behind the neck, thereby also criticized by many customers cable noise are greatly reduced. The division of the cable takes place on the current model, also due to the asymmetrical cable management, directly on the remote control, by remote control pulls no longer on the left headphone but the weight is divided and is very comfortable to wear! Sound:
Well, I'm certainly not a reference for high end audio, for me it is important that music sounds natural and clear. I just like it balanced and undistorted. I also understand the fuss at the simple music playback no, I do not know anyone of the hearing a piece of music knows actually sounding like it would (apart from the musician himself and his studio team). How do you assess the audio quality based on songs please? I did not try it so only for me is crucial that the headphones sound balanced and they do absolutely. I have not feel the bass headphones would overemphasize or swallow heights, it all comes across very pleasant and you can enjoy his music.

The noise insulation is relatively good, even without music, the ambient noise is very well shielded, so you can experience already with very low volume private listening. Especially for classical music, which is great, there are many quiet passages in which (if not exactly at home sitting in the room) to drown out the music, the ambient noise quickly.
As a headset when making calls to this course proves to be impractical, it is hard to hear your own voice or their volume and therefore one is always a little unsure whether we speak loud / quiet enough.

Functionality (remote control):
Since I as mentioned above, the headphones predominantly mobile use, in conjunction with my iPhone, I naturally did not want to give up the control of the iPhone by remote control. The remote control was therefore one of the main reasons why I chose for this product. Before I held the remote in my hands, I was very skeptical, I had in the meantime some cheap headphones with a simple remote control (without volume control) and this was really horrible. The pressure point of this inexpensive remote control was so bad that it was hardly possible tracks will advance / retreat switch (2-way / 3-way pressure).

When I first connected and tested, the remote control was my attention so especially the pressure point of the keys. After some tests, but it soon became clear Sennheiser has done all things well right here! The buttons are not only good "palpate" but also serve very enjoyable and precise. The iPhone responds perfectly to all inputs, but a small deviation from the original remote control is me then noticed ... by pressing and holding the volume button (+ or -) will continuously change the volume with the original remote control, with the Sennheiser wireless controller does not, Here, the key must be pressed several times. Well, not really a problem but worth mentioning.

Conclusion:
All in all, I am using the Sennheiser MM 70i more than satisfied my expectations in terms of sound and function have been fully met. In terms of comfort, I would still like to see a little more range of attachment or it would be nice to make the essays with 2 fins somewhat "softer" to but that's all for me especially as it gets quite a bit on offer as part of the price.

I welcome the fact that Sennheiser has improved the product and therefore should (I hope) the vulnerability to be largely eliminated.

Time for a quick update. I have the headphones now almost half a year in operation, so far everything is working like the first day. I can not judge whether my usage dramatically from the other user is different but from my point of view these headphones not only sound good, but also corresponds in terms of materials and workmanship to my expectations. I really had (due to the negative reports here) some doubt what so far the life concerns but no problems.

Amazon has (thanks to the spot!) Now corrected the figures, therefore, I will remove these hints from my review. As a note for customers who still have the older model or consider purchasing from other dealers to consider:
Sennheiser has adapted the product (improved), the new version has an asymmetrical cable management and the division of the cable is located on the remote control. The jack has also been adjusted and is now angled at 90 °. It could still further (internal changes) have been made, which I can not say anything definitely should pay attention when buying!
