Short and sweet:
After unpacking you hold a very lightweight device in the hands of that through a successful design corpus in white and front and CD cover in black piano lacquer - impresses.
A folding handle as in other devices of this type does not exist. For an intervention is provided back to the unit, which is ideally suited for transporting the unit.
The 2x 2 watt output leave no doubt arise that this is a radio on the go, so the garden, beach or balcony. Offered at various online retailers as Boom, or even with DAB + I would like to point out that only an analog FM receiver section is available and there are no recording facilities.

Packaging and accessories:
The unit is - Philips typisch- environmentally friendly in the cardboard box without styrofoam and packed and supplied only with 2 PE-film bags. The device comes with a power cord.

Commissioning:
Plug the power cord or insert 6 x 1.5 V R14 batteries, set slide switch to the left to the desired source selection and off you go.

Operating Instructions:
The device comes with a Quick Start Guide, but you do not really need. If you really want the complete user from the Philips website to be downloaded.

FM radio:
The radio station can be set on the right side with a wheel.
The frequency display is via a small hole with roll number.
Targeted tuning? With a low selectivity of the tuner and the display - only by ear! The radio receiver is probably only an addition or they would certainly not treated it so neglected. Too bad for about 80, - cost price displaying the frequencies would certainly have made a good impression on the display.

CD and MP3:
The functions of the CD and USB playback are standard. Repeat, shuffle, etc. Skip be selected at the keys around the display. It is also possible a program of 20 titles enter.

USB Direct:
The USB flash drive (USB2.0 or USB1.1) should have FAT12 / 16 or 32 format. 8 levels with max. 99 folders and up to max. 999 titles should be possible. But given the tiny screens it's no fun to shimmy through the folder structure - that can try anyone who wants!

Audio in:
About a 3.5mm jack cable to MP3; CD or other - players, and mobile phones are connected via the headphone output. Here the unit works as an amplifier with the possibility to change the volume. The use of other functions via the respective connected device with its capabilities.

Bluetooth:
Provide cellphone scanning on Bluetooth, tap forward to pairing the AZ330T and the devices are connected. The reception area should be ca.10m.
By each installed app on the mobile phone / smartphone, the functional operation of the software may be different. Internet radio is so - provided a fast network access - possible.

Sound:
The sound is good for a device of this class. The frequency response of 125 16000 Hz. Confirmed the lack of bass and treble. A warmer sound with more bass would be the instrument very well to face. It sounds a bit underpowered.
