- It should of course be small in order not to unnecessarily obstruct neighboring bushes, and not to attract attention in your pocket
- No sliding mechanisms, since they all wear out eventually anyway and the insertion into the socket then becomes a problem
- No caps, at least none that are not connected to the body, because you lose anyway sooner or later
- No plastic, at least if the stick is not very thin. Plastic bends then, and with it the board, which can lead to complete uselessness. In addition, under the load, and over time the two halves that make up each plastic stick, separate
- Not super thin eyelets for the key ring, even if they are made of metal. Are torn me always a very short time.
- Not super small eyes, I can not get through the keyring. And in something else, except a reasonable keyring I put no trust in any case (like these bands that accompany often)
- Read and write speeds are for me mitlerweile matter, because I do not drive very fast is come across who meets the above criteria. The same is true with USB 3.0.
In addition to these embroidery only the A-Data S805 of me is come across that meets my criteria. I find this really even a lot more practical as the connecting point can not get dirty as quickly (can be switched on and open), and it can be solved by the key problem (as carabiners). If you forget the stick, one forgets little minutely not equal yet the key (a not insignificant point !!!). But (at least perceived) longer report on failures have driven me then but after the first model again on a quest, and so I ended up with this model.
Negative points of this model are:
- The mediocre speed
- No USB 3.0
- Junction can get dirty (you should then also again get quite good clean!)
I wear the stick now for about 6 months on a key chain, and use it 2-3 times a week. Besides this stick I can really recommend any of the numerous other models without hesitation. As for the negative points: If the stick is to be really supported daily on a key chain, then you should enter this compromise. Loss of data, or every few months a new drive are to me anyway too risky, or too stupid.
