For me an advantage, whosoever does not like taking the camera from the eye, the display will automatically turn on and one judges it stop there. Then you look back into the viewfinder, the display automatically switches off and the viewfinder and photographed on. This should be complicated?
For images quickly needed you can disable this ad and immediately, so really quickly gets the viewfinder image.
Conclusion: For the average Joe-clippers recommended because it usually has no clue of aperture and shutter speed, but potential error can be seen immediately.

Tested on my cam and a Saturn. Hab with camera flash, a delay of a fraction of a second, continuous shooting with external flash are up to 10 frames per second without delay possible (by me with Metz 44 tested).
