Summary:
Positives:
-angenehme size lies comfortably in your hand
-wechselbare tip ensures longevity of the product
-after calibration very accurate, even with an oblique attitude
Negatives:
-The Key is hard to find while writing, because it is scarcely perceptible
-he has no eraser / only one button
Detailed:
Packing & Accessories.:
-Includes In the package were the pen and three different peaks (a hard plastic, two felt-tip / rubber tips) and a ring tool for exchanging.
-Very Well, so that the pin can be used longer, because the peaks are constantly mechanically stressed when writing and degrade over time. In short trial period but I could see no change here. I suspect also that the hard white tip is less sensitive than the black, and similar wear and tear in rough screen protectors is greater.
Contain -Außerdem were multilingual instructions for use, information and a pictorial guide. Packaging is the size of the article according to / fit and leaves a good first impression.
-The Black lace is soft and writes more like a marker, since they seem to be slightly rubberized / roughened. She only makes a slight noise when mounting and has a little more friction when writing.
-The Hard white tip is considerably smoother and slips easily across the screen. They also clacks during placement, which can be seen either as annoying or as good feedback; However, I prefer the black lace.
Dimensions, weight, shape, structure and material design
-The Weight distribution could be better. The pen itself weighs 10g, the cap 8g when the pen cap is thus been attached above too difficult. But it is equally difficult without cap and allows easy writing.
-The Countersunk, smooth key is hard to find, here was a raised position or a significant material difference beautifully. But the key is nice and quiet.
Scope ~ 3 cm, ie just under 1 cm in diameter. The pen is therefore good in my hand, and produces a more natural writing experience than the thinner original stylus.
Length with cap on top of ~ 13.3cm
Length with cap behind 14.2cm
Length without cap 12,4cm
-The Stylus is also uncapped still comfortably on the index finger knuckle on and there is still more than about 3 cm, so is suitable for larger hands
-I The black version I've bought, and am very happy with the look. The pen looks like a pretty high-quality filler. Why is the white a lot cheaper I can not judge.
Processing / Quality:
-A weak seam runs along one of the pen, but it is not noticeable, but visible only and will not affect the in any way.
-no pointed edges, no processing error, it rattles and no button has a fairly firm pressure point. The entire pen makes a stable impression and is easy manual bending tests very well.
-The clip is very strong and will not break under normal load well.
-Easy offset the physical pen tip and displayed their position on my Surface Pro 2. The displacement occurs only when the pen is not in use vertically, but obliquely. This is because the portion of the pin, which is recognized, is not exactly at the top, but something behind it and is constructional reasons. It can either be compensated by the vertical positioning or calibrate the screen if the device supports the latter.
In Windows, you can calibrate the digitizer board means, so that the offset is calculated away (here exists a very accurate method for the Surface Pro 2: [.....]).
Use:
Notes into OneNote, use the Surface Pro 2. Here I like him much better than the original stylus because it is better due to the size in the hand and with the black lace pleasantly quiet writes. After calibration, the precision over the entire screen, even in the peripheral areas very well.
Verdict, final critique
-Only A button, no eraser. Since the key is level with the stylus, it's hard to feel.
-The Stylus consists mostly of plastic, aside from a bit of metal in the back, but he has still a very upscale feel.
-Kalibration Necessary (at least at the Surface Pro 2). Of course, he also works out-of-the-box, but the pen tip is detected slightly offset. I am sure that this is also something device dependent, and will therefore draw no general judgment of it.
The pen has pressure sensitivity (ie in applications that support this leads to firmer pressing broader lines, etc.), but I know not to test this objective method and can therefore only confirm that they are, for example, in OneNote, works.
also if it is not visible on the product page, the pin with any Wacom Digitizer should operate.
