I highly recommend buying this Epson WF 2540 printer. The ink cartridges for use with this printer contain a microchip. This chip includes a counter that tells the printer the number of prints "still possible" with this cartridge. Each time you print a document, the printer software using this value decreases by a certain amount. The printer is not based on the actual amount of ink but on this counter to determine that a cartridge is empty. When the number reaches zero, the printer does not just report to you: it is not working. The ink warning indicator lights. If you print, you are on the computer display an error message letting you know that there is more ink. It's over. We must replace the cartridge, even if there is a color you do not use. What's worse is that in most cases, the cartridge is not empty yet. But you are forced to buy a new cartridge, because as long as the former has not been replaced, you can not print NOTHING!
