Even manual driver installation is useless

Update:
The controller now runs under Windows 7. The following error was present: For manual driver installation, as has already been described several times in the reviews, is with me at the end only the "Xbox 360 Wireless Controller" is listed as the driver. This I had installed and surprised that nothing works ... However: necessary is the driver for the "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver". This is obtained through the official Microsoft site (just to the next search engine tap). After that, it worked wonderfully for me.
More stars anyway no longer there because the rest of deficiencies in customer service and in the enclosed CD persist.

The device connects despite manual driver installation with any of my two Xbox360 controller, or the connection immediately stops again. Multiple Uninstall and reinstall, system restarts, etc. also brought nothing. Tests the device to get started manually via the driver of the enclosed CD failed because the CD is not readable. Apparently I'm not the only one with the problem. As a final point I's criticisms extremely long delivery time.
Update: On my new Windows 8.1 laptop adapter actually works perfectly, but it brings me nothing, because not suitable for gaming. Maybe this information can help but one or the other in their purchasing decision. I have therefore also increased the rating to three stars.
