The dimensions (about 164.8 x 88.8 x 10.3 mm) and the weight (212g) of FonePads with 6 "display is perhaps not for everyone. For really good, you can use a device of this size with only two hands . A useful one-handed operation stops for medium-sized hands at approximately 4.5 "devices with a small edge of the display. I had previously in my HTC One with 4.7 "display problems with the one-hand operation and have therefore usually operated with both hands.
The case is meticulously crafted. There is no creaking bodies and the rear wall makes a solid impression. When black / gray model, the back is slightly rubberized and thus provides good grip in the hand, does not slip so easily on the table and is resistant to fingerprints. Unfortunately, the white model has a glossy back and is therefore not quite as good in your hand and slips a little more on the table.
The edge of the display with the Asus FonePad Note FHD 6 is quite large and is often listed as a negative point. But I can not agree to, because when using the phone with the thumb one often comes with a thin edge of the display with the heel of your hand on the touch panel, which then will be incorrect entries. I personally find the extwas larger display edge (approx 7 mm left / right and 17 mm above / inten) as easy to use.
The big 6 "IPS display with Full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels) looks very very sharp and lights very bright (380 nits). The colors look very natural and not as artificial as the AMOLED display. The display glass reflects quite strong, can but non-reflective display with a favorable film. The large Full HD display is standard on the Asus FonePad Note FHD 6 of the highlights.
The connections are easily accessible and well thought out. The USB 2.0 data and charging port is located at the bottom center of the device between the Micro (left) and the stylus (right). The headphone jack befidnet the top left and the compartments for Micro-SIM and Micro-SD card on the top left of the page. The card slots hide behind an easy to open plastic cover. This is very handy if, for example, the SIM card or SD card is changed frequently. The button for on / off and volume buttons are located right at the top of the page. Cameras are installed two pieces. Back there is quite a good 8 megapixel camera by Sony with Aperture F = 2.0, unfortunately without LED flash and therefore only suitable for adequate light and a 1.2 megapixel front for video calling. The instalierte camera app is easy to understand and very well done. It offers all the features you need and of course some nice gimmicks.
The battery is good sized with 3200mAh. Unfortunately, the large and bright display requires quite a lot of electricity. Maturities under normal use enough definitely for a day, but are just average. I hope that Asus still can improve something on the Software.
The integrated stylus used, as with the Samsung touch devices, the technology of Wacom and is equipped similarly. The installed ASUS apps are useful and funktinieren very well with the stylus. Although the range of functions at ASUS is less than with the Samsung devices, I miss anything important.
As mobile communications standard are all common, except LTE, untertützt: GSM, UMTS, DC HSPA + (DL / UL). Where the omission of LTE, especially in this price range and the holey mesh cover, is to get over.
From a performance point of installed Intel SOC 600/800 series comes naturally not reach the current Smapdragon. But is not absolutely necessary, because all applications and almost all games funktioneren perfect. Only today's hottest games and non-optimized games cause problems if necessary. The rest is super smooth and runs correctly.
Now the software: ASUS uses a minimally modified version of Android 4.2.2. So it's not installed any unnecessary and totally overloaded surface ala Samsung Touchwiz. Installed Apps and adjustments are, except for very few exceptions (Press Reader, Zhino), useful additions. Mention may be made here, for example, the read mode, which adjusts the display to the settings of an eReader. Or the instant dictionary that passage of text translated into a desired language. Installed is a streaming software for playing media, an office suite (Polaris Office 4.0), a file manager, a App Locker to password-protect Apps, an application control, an eBook reader, a computer, and software for optimized adjustment of audio (audio Wizzard) and display (Splendid Video). Very practical is the configurable quick launch menu that art can easily call by pressing and holding the Home button. Since Asus regarding a good reputation. Has updates, I hope that soon the current Android versions will follow as an update.

I'm missing only a notification LED and the LED flash for the camera. The terms could be better, but enough for me out.
