The Exprelia Evo Class I get really cappuccino / latte macchiato at the touch and although basic (although the milk carafe herumsprotzt when Spülvorgan, it makes the milk circuit anhydrous! Many other [fully automatic in the> 1000 Euro price class] "milk froth at the touch" is also promised / implied, in fact you have to but only reconnect a milk hose, then disconnect, then clean after use ... then we do not have a spoken milk container, the offer a lot even just optional. The DeLonghis with their prima donnas are here on the right track, but if the milk foam collapses quickly and the carafe rinse a constantly annoying, I can not recommend it because the DeLonghi may have no matter how great the brewing processes. --- N terms of "great milk froth at the touch" comes to mind, the Melitta F 731-101, which I would also recommend, but "at your fingertips" is because after all, still clamping a milk hose, best over a thermal milk container. It may be my personal view of things, but this system of Saeco I still like best.
Amazing & Noteworthy: The milk container has been used permanently by me, 2 to 3 times daily infected and removed again (always kept in the refrigerator); it is (only!) 1 x week completely cleaned and is in fact in continuous use. My concerns were that the attachment mechanism of the milk container is eventually worn or any of the plastic parts breaks down. This was the case even after about 1 year of intensive use!
On swing pouring arm is a "nose" canceled the Ausgießarm no longer remains tight (consists of several parts that are no longer held together). I have - since the customer has proven in my "to the test machine obtained" as not obliging - made do with a rubber ring, which now holds the arm. Even this "crutch" now works for a long time.

The fully automatic (model HD8855) is with us in October 2012 at the use - and yet time and again give the opportunities for new test objects with me - I did this properly closed to the heart and do not wish to have to part with it. I am a little embarrassed because I have this wonderful machine, as long as not rated. Somehow I too long rausgeschoben (and even waited for defects which never came), that was a mistake, as I now - have seen - I got to make other tests.

Operation is beautifully simple. Whether "regular coffee" or cappuccino. Manual even exemplary - and even necessary for various information about cleaning / maintenance!
Still, one may have different compositions (amount of coffee + milk) program (not complicated.) - Then there's just cappuccino or latte macchiato at the touch of a button.
The way here to the milk container is integrated - I find awesome. (Here one must not use a hose or an extra container tampering. Pot clipped to the machine, turn the outlet to the side and there you go.)
Of course, the milk container is maintenance-intensive, but the most convenient way to prepare cappuccino, this method all times. [* 1]
The hardware (s) is stable and well finished (brewing unit, grinder, hoses) and the exterior I have already found the same fascinatingly beautiful. [* 2]
The polished stainless steel case turns out to be very easy to clean. The is necessary because at the end of Milchaufschäumvorganges --- there's just a little mess.
The coffee spout height adjustment system can - or completely remove, then even fit my extremely high To-Go thermo cup underneath - and the outlet of the milk carafe can still maneuver with such a tall cup !! [* 3]
The water tank is somewhat suboptimal because the liquid level is not visible from the outside --- but honestly? If you use the machine in a 2-person household, then you get some time a sense, is when to refill again; or you have an immediate container of water stand by. (The machine logs of course, when water runs out and the marriage starts a brewing process; ie it was never to be half-filled cups.)
I took advantage of the way the first (somewhat expensive) Philips Saeco filter. Meanwhile, I have switched to a slightly cheaper filter.
Rather impractical I find the lid on the water tank (which must be, that's clear to me, because here condensed water) - from the feeling but also a breeding ground for bad bacteria or mold, as I had at first (as I did not yet considered have found when cleaning).
Very stable even the bean container, unfortunately without warning (if only visually) when it is empty. Unfortunately, only one bean variety possible ... I know you will be outrageous, if you know it from other models provide convenient ... [* 5]
The noise during grinding is unremarkable.
The machine can be very good (also from the inside, as group head removed) clean.
Wasserabtropfschale and coffee grounds (pomace) containers are on the front page - which is hinged - taken. The brewing unit takes you from the front, which practically turns out to be extreme.
Shortcoming is that coffee grounds inside abundant at its destination (group head) past falls and accumulates in the machine, especially on the right hinge of the door opening. Here, a cleaning brush or a vacuum cleaner proves (if any) as a useful mini-nozzle.
Incidentally, even exemplary, mitliefert which nursing / and consumption articles Philips / Saeco. Filter, descaling agent, Silkon and brush. Only a cleaning tablet I would have still desired. (Was not present at me.)
Speaking of cleaning! The machine does not require cleaning and descaling separately, but only cleaning + decalcification (CALC CLEAN) (!) - And do you do with the descaler Philips / Saeco. This is a bottle of cleaner (not just cheap) but effective. Especially the coffee tastes after this procedure (including detailed flushing) again wonderfully.
Less great, of course, the prices that calls the manufacturers of the original products, here you have to decide for themselves to what extent they deviate from the care instructions of the manufacturer is willing to - to save costs for example. (Tips / advices on the bottom!).
From the size you can not complain about this model. The Evo class is quite compact and because it opens forward and practical to use. A little space to the right has to factor one, because otherwise the front door can not be opened.

Which coffees you can do with it?

Tips and consumables for maintenance / cleaning

# Cleaning (brewing): coffee degreaser - 10 tablets (I think is particularly important; I clean every 1 to 2 months trying - then equal to the entire brewing unit). -> Saeco coffee fat remover
From the outside, the brewing unit is simply washed only under running hot water. Brush off dirt with a soft brush as necessary. Water of brewing shake and allow to air dry.
The (first delivery) enclosed silicone grease the necessary points on the brewing unit when necessary regrease. Now I have also good experiences with the Liqui Moly 3312 Silicone Grease transparent, made 100 g - which is of course much cheaper, but unfortunately to dose not as good as the small Saeco Silicone Tube. -.> Saeco silicon grease 5 gr Tube
# Water filter / water hardness: With us water is 14 ° dH, ie at the border too hard. Coffee tastes better when filtered water, also descaling is then less often necessary!

Entkalker funds: Philips Saeco says to only use original resources (Saeco descaler concentrate for coffee / espresso machines, 250ml, 4-pack 4 pieces - about 22 EUR), but ... with me is with quantity and price here a pain threshold exceeded the original means of Saeco I find too expensive.
Of course, I am wary of other manufacturers / agents! There are totally contradictory advice regarding descaler (in Board discussions). Vinegar should be completely lethal to fullauto lonely man, I would emphasize. However, citric acid is not to be the real McCoy since it dissolves calcium slowly. Which accessories (expensive!) Philips Saeco decalcifier has it all, which one should use to about 5 to 6 euros per application (!), I can not say exactly, because even on the bottle no precise indication is. Citric acid, lactic acid, corrosion inhibitors - more can not find one.
Should it be 99% to citric acid, one could get the course cheaper, but I can with citric acid as a descaling solution for fully automatic not make friends, just because of the problems that citric acid attacks aluminum parts and often resolves only chunks, lime therefore not dissolves completely during decalcification!
So easily I'm finally the matter again not, have now opted for a different well-known manufacturers - (Durgol) - not cheap, but the decalcification works well! Lime is fully dissolved (no "lumps in wastewater") and there are no changes in taste. (Extremely exciting I find an article from the Kaffeewiki! Oddly enough, I came without knowing the item previously to similar conclusions.)
My favorite is currently: Durgol Swiss Espresso special descaler, 5 packs, 10 x 125ml
Cleaning water container / lid: Every few months I clean the kettle (besides the normal rinsing with detergent) for hygienic reasons either a tablet denture cleaners (cheap Tabs from discount!), Or double-serving Redesept 150g cleaning powder for oral irrigators.
Cleaning the milk-jug for milk frothing: The milk in the carafe usually holds (always leave immediately after use CLEAN and run back into the fridge) one week. This weekend is completely cleaned, rinsed and carried out on the machine a Carafe cleaning. Rinsed the carafe and lid by hand with a lot of detergent (Fairy is suitable for super) and for cleaning decanters I give every few weeks and a few drops of milk foam system cleaner into the pot. (Then of course rinse properly.)
Cleaning Help - Tip: The Xavax Cleaning B005F3F4NK proves this fully automatic to be very useful.
