The delivery speed corresponded to the given information from Amazon.
The product met the expectations of all proportion (see below), only it was not so high quality of the production quality.
An adhesive bond to the product immediately dissolved (but read it easily again fix). The purchase price was, however, hesitation refunded by the supplier, after exchanging some e-mails for clarification.
Therefore, "only" 4 stars.
Since the system camera Panasonic DMC-GM 1 unfortunately only has a small internal flash, but no separate hot shoe has,
I've been thinking the weak flash output supplement with a strong external slave flash.
Therefore I bought the specified below (see below) flash with slave flash mode.
This should of course also with any other camera that has its own flash but not have its own hot shoe, and any other flash with manual mode function.
The flash worked flawlessly only had problems when slipping on a Kaiserwinkel rail, as it here frequently to false alarms came in and also to quickly unplug the electronic flash has thus suspended more often, which was then only be repaired by a restart.
Therefore, I have then another rail used (see below) and here there were no more problems.
The built-in slave flash mode of the external flash seems to be unfortunately not well matched to my application (hence the purchase of this product):
1. often sparked the flash is not from when he was in a sort of blind spot to the camera flash.
2. the synchronization times of the camera shutter with the flash fires at the flash in slave mode does not seem to harmonize well.
Va when the flash was operated at 100-50% power, the release was probably so fast that no more light on the camera sensor of the GM-1 "arrived" because probably the camera shutter was not yet sufficiently open. This then led to completely underexposed images.
Both problems can be solved but through this flash trigger shoe with adjustable optical sensor.
Ultimately, I would have probably just can buy a manual flash without built-slave mode,
but since this was only marginally cheaper, I have kept this model then.
If there jmd. Interested (if jmd. Any questions to just post commentary), still short instructions and links (links are on Amazon, unfortunately not allowed, so simply looking for the complete product name) to the products with which It then works has (corresponding other products but functional kidney sure as well) ,:
- Slave flash stuck on the external flash sensor. Provide external sensor on red eye mode and time delay to minimum (just so is a Synchro even with full slave flash Power guarantees)
Provide remote flash power to Manual mode -. It can be set up to full power (1/1)
- Remote flash position (can also be positioned in front of camera). You can put it with the flash bracket (see below)
and the handheld tripod (see below), the attaching to the flash bracket, mounted next to the camera simply by rail.
- GM-1 internal flash enabled (possibly flash power reduced, saving battery and affect the illumination of the slave Bltzes little, but is still sufficient to activate the remote flash), normal mode (not red-eye reduction mode)
- Provide GM-1 to "A" mode, adjust ISO firmly eg 125 or 200th
- GM-1 iris close (eg 8-22). Fit to distance the subject and ISO setting. Smaller aperture has advantage of better depth of field unless you want the motif emerge.
- Exposure time is the flash mode in the GM-1 unfortunately minimal 1/50 s limited, therefore no longer set. Since it may have been coming to ghosting of moving subjects, especially if the environment is not quite as dark. This can be improved by a small aperture and small iso, since only lit by the very short flash moments are bright enough to be mapped correctly
- Check the result and possibly adjust the aperture and / or ISO
