I ordered the book about 3 weeks prior to testing and pretty soon started to learn it. Unlike other I actually find that working through precedes very quickly, I have about 50 pages per day managed (in 4 hours, so it would certainly also have been possible!). The book of Kaplan I had ordered and even wanted to start, because it is not quite as a tome, but I have the set quite quickly out of hand, since I did not get along so well. From Cracking the TOEFL I was, however, impressed from the outset. It is so well explained that I have really considered only the combined advice on individual sections in the week before the test, you will namely really well trained and the actual test you no longer expect many surprises all. My only problem was that I had too little time at Reading, practicing with the book is thus left should mitstoppen often times. When Speaking part also one must not keep exactly to the templates, suggest the authors, usually you have not so much time that accommodate everything. The basic framework is nevertheless highly recommended.
My result was finally: 110 total, of which R: 26; L: 27; S: 29; W: 28th
Before speaking I had in advance the most scared, but the tasks the real test were much better than some in the book (it is really what occurred to me on the subject). Reading I actually thought it should be no problem, but was then the hairiest for said time problem. I would anyway recommend anyone and everyone to prepare the book! Others (eg Vocabulary books) you can then save 100%, who brought me nothing! So concentrate on that one book and that by working smart, then one can happen nothing, so far as one previously has the appropriate basic knowledge of English.
