For Medion 66cm device (26 inches): The quality of the TV I find very good. It is 65cm wide, 49cm high with pedestal thin (without stand 44cm) and thanks to the new LED backlight technology only 4 to 5 cm! I use it with an external surround sound system.
The functionality is very broad - reception tuner for DVB-S, DVB-C and DVB-T are built. By the cable provider UPC I receive unencrypted digital SD channels 50 and six HD channels (ORF 1, ORF 2, ARD, ZDF, Servus TV, arte). Sharpness is of course excellent for HD channels. Furthermore, the Medion TV has a very chic and very stable glass base, 100mm VESA standard for wall mounting, an ON / OFF switch to turn the unit completely disconnected from the mains. The power supply is built against other user-reviews in the device! HDMI ports are included 3 pieces, the picture transmission of Full HD Bluray video is amazing, although I had a little trial and error on the PC, until I could change the resolution of 1366x768 (reported by the TV via HDMI) to 1920x1080. The power consumption of 52 watts I find ok.
The remote control of Medion is very clear with sufficiently large keys - see product images. The channel number Sorting took with me a bit longer. Here I recommend, first all locked (encrypted) to delete channels, possibly also "absolutely unnecessary stations". Only then move the desired station on the front seats ("move" in the program menu). The station search at the beginning took about 30-45 minutes.
The stem is secured with Phillips screws. The TV also has a hotel-mode and a password lock. My external 2.5 "USB hard drive is easily recognized, play AVI files, and also some movies in MKV format, Disney movies in MKV format not. The display time of's menu in the menu under" OSB duration "for example, be increased from 10 to 20 seconds. summer / winter time you have to change yourself in the menu, by choosing an appropriate time zone. The EPG Menu button (Program Guide) I find not so great, the INFO button is better, otherwise use the Teletext.
To quickly switch to the numeric keys on the transmitter, press the OK button after entering the channel location number. In the first few hours of TV had a slightly pungent odor, but lay down after the first day. This is noted in the instruction manual.

And finally a product comparison: Had before this unit the "Thomson 24FT4253 61 cm (24 inch) LED backlight TVs, energy efficiency class A (Full HD, DVB-C / -T, CI +, 2x HDMI, USB 2.0) Black" ( Amazon) ordered 210 euros, with the sound when Medion is better. Also, I could not use my sound system to Thomson, as this had a disturbing noise at the headphone output.
