Yet the first few pages, presaged a good little novel, but I got (very) quickly bored, I struggled to get into this revenge story and the characters who are caricatures (the good on one side and stereotypical villains) ... I totally unhooked when the characters "invented" a machine to mesmerize the people living in this rainforest. I agree with some comments and I entirely agree on the fact that if it was not Mr Gounelle who was the author, this book would have gone completely unnoticed.
I misunderstood the purpose, except that of the character of Sandro seeking revenge, the other characters in the book and involvement. It seemed little studied, overflown by L.Gounelle almost childish story worthy of a poorly written and an impoverished imagination, which is attached to the fact to denounce the failings of our civilization well simplistically.
I liked his first book (the man who wanted to be happy), much less the second (God always travel incognito) and this one at all. Often the authors as Mr Gounelle riding the wave of success, I hope he will recover over the next novels. It has a writing potential, which could interest a large audience, but this should not allow him to release a novel while tote, wrote to the will -speed.
