The concept of collecting tales from different countries and I liked the cover. Unfortunately the quality of texts is very variable and most stories are very poorly written. I read much nicer versions of the same stories in other books. The same applies to illustrations. Some tales have very beautiful illustrations, others are mediocre. The result is all the more disappointing that the choice of stories is not as original as the title suggests. These are mostly classics.
