Have I bought the device because my netbook only has a HDMI output, and I often have to present in places where only VGA cables are routed.

What can I say: The unit simply does exactly what it should. So it gets 5 stars from me. Connected, everything has to work immediately and the image quality is excellent for VGA.

Something annoying of course is that you have to plug in an additional power supply. Possibly, the device can provide but also from a USB port. Requires 5V and
