When the unit arrived, I have it unpacked immediately. Schick looks and fit it into my kitchen Optical. But then Kam: I have filled approximately 1/2 liter of water with a drop of washing up liquid into the glass container. I wanted to test the device 1. and 2. Clean before first use. So put device on the motor unit until it clicks, checks whether the lid is closed (which he was, I thought at least) and turned on. And already I was the first time wet. Out of sheer fright I turned off the machine immediately. The water had hochgedrück at the side edges. Well, I admit not to give up easily. So I created the cover again firmly pressed and this even detained. Next try: machine on and ..... again splashed water. But this time, not at the margins, but top out. This time I did not immediately identified, and while the unit continued to run, the water was no longer a problem then. It splashed nothing more highly. However, now was water everywhere in my kitchen.
Smoothies and a banana shake was not a problem. It splashed nothing and so I dismissed it as a beginner problem. But I think now, it was just lying on the initial lack of liquid. :) What just bothered me: I just did not get the cutting unit from the glass jug off in order to clean them properly can. But even so I could live.
But then came the sauce. And that was the moment where I said to myself, this unit is a No Go. I poured the hot sauce to this beautiful fine puree. I specially checked if everything is tight. It was only half a liter of liquid. As soon as I turned on the device: BAAAMMM. I could wipe my cabinets .... Is not that great on white furniture red sauce to have. :( Also, I was lucky. My 7 year old son stood beside me and, God strayed thanks, no hot splashes.
After checking the lid, I realized that the transparent cover that can be removed for refilling, do not properly flush with the black lid. Thus, I would never get a properly closed container. That once I puree again fluids are pushing up to when turning and acidify my kitchen again.
Thus, this device will leave my plastered kitchen again. Maybe someone else is so happy .... I for one let the fingers of the future of the brand Russell Hobbs.
