Unfortunately, the connections with this cable are now even worse than before. Either the external hard drive is now no longer recognized, or the compounds break even rather from than before. I have also tried all the variations: just plug in the red power cable and then the black USB3 cable, or vice versa, or both, and only then connect the drive, but it remains in unstable and unreliable connections. Interestingly, it only works on the black cable no longer (kernel reports "bad cable?") Although according to the USB specifications but voltage and data should be fed, and should serve the red compound only in support of the power supply.
Actually, the cable does not work, but since I can not completely rule out a problem on board, USB3 port and operating system but two stars. For others, it seems to run clear for my application but it is not suitable.
