Does what it can! FTP + Media Server TOP

I use NAS by I transfer my data PCs to the NAS of another.
This is connected to a USB stick and used as a source to the receiver Video / MP3 / Photos play on its Smart TV.
Say I invite some of the USB stick (on the Internet) and high miraculously sees the receiver from time to time new things in its Media Player to play (Panasonic Viera Smart TV)
Critical Only the own upload rate is. In my case, 200 kb / s (DSL 32000). Are the files but first there (100 MB approx 5-10 minutes upload) they can easily play in the Media Center! But ......... the NAS only supports mpeg / avi / wmv (Video) ... mkv ... MP3 and JPEG music and photo function no.

Facility went smoothly

-Dyndns In Routerconfig intigrieren (for access via Inet) because of constantly changing IP
-the NAS LAN IP Book (192.168.0.105 in the manual)
-Portfreigabe Routing (forwarding) of the ports 20 and 21 for FTP og for IP
-After Installing the drivers CD via java script file to NAS started ... FTP and media server set up via the web interface
-Runs!

I have 2 disks tested an old FAT32 disk which has a cable with 2 USB connectors, one for extra power ... and a 4GB USB stick.
The disk @ 1 USB connected runs ... but total stuttering in video oO ... USB Stick regulates and plays in the test without problems the boss Mp4 all the way.
With FTP (Active mode) can with my line, even some video stream well (MP4 files that were gecoded decent and are small)

PRO:

+ Sufficient transmission rates

Cons:
- Low Config möglickeiten in FTP; (...
- Manual (only for the installation of the drivers and web interface)
- Mpeg / avi / wmv (Video) only

Ps: runs with DHCP "on" / + solid NAS IP
