Against this player, I had Panasonic, but already 7 years old. I opted for Philips as a new player, because my TV is also from Philips. The unit I really like. Easy to install. Picture and sound brilliant, better than the previous player. What bothers me watching that DVD once stops short in a 90 minute film 2-3 and then passed the ball. This effect occurs in both bought as well as home-burned DVDs. It can happen sometimes that a DVD is playing without stopping. I'll call times to the manufacturer, but I do not promise much. One can live with it. But that's why I forgive only 3 stars.
