1. Purpose / wishes:
For my mother's apartment I was looking for a replacement for older active speakers on PC. In addition, could be heard in other rooms possibly desired web radio.
First I had a look at traditional 2.0 wireless speakers, there was, however, disappointed because it drags much clutter around the apartment, and simply chic + is also something else.
Finally I came across the "sound bars" which, although actually designed for iPod and mobile phones, but also allow an interesting way of portable music in the apartment.
2. Delivery and first impression:
About Amazon's delivery times have to say not much, everything was great.
The Soundbar / Soundbox comes in a compact box with mains plug and some instructions.
The look is very chic, I think. The black plastic is dull, thick enough and looks solid and of high quality.
The control buttons on the front are not disturbing and yet is easily accessible.
3. Connection:
The D100 is connected via Bluetooth to a Vaio laptop with Win7. The Quick Start Guide explains everything and the connection is actually foolproof.
Press button on the device, Windows detects the D100, set as default output source, adjust any level and well.
4. Sound:
I have wavered between the D100 and the D200 larger long to select in Amazon, I wanted a "full" sound and not to cheap metal clank.
The D100 has me completely surprised here! I just test you in a 40sqm room, and where else 2 large tower speaker sound with its own hi-fi amplifier meets the D100 now the room quite confidently. The bass range is by default a little too 'thin' for my taste, as I hurried along with the equalizer when my mp3 scan program a little.
Sure you can here no bass expect and who has his focus on electronic dance music, is unlikely to break out in dance ecstasy. But if you expect from a device of this size will be probably not find anywhere else.
Very pleased I am with the discoloration-free sound. I had some time ago tried on my hi-fi system, some Radio Transmitters (to stream via Bluetooth from Laptop on investment) and have returned 4 of 5 devices. Either the music sounded tinny / digitalized / alienated or had dropouts.
Here everything has been running for 2 hours without noticeable loss of sound.
5 Conclusion:
Pro: + small portable / transportable speakers for the apartment without a lot of clutter / sound processing / simple design / good sound quality for size
Cons: for devices without Bluetooth no stick is included
