First we had a used Nikon Coolscan IV, in which each slide had to be cumbersome individually inserted and edited since its board gave up the ghost, we bought the Epson V600 Photo (new to Wenger than half the price of the used Nikon). Herewith the slide scanning runs in passing because of Epson edited 4 pieces at a time and you just have to look and continue with new items. After the pre-scan eliminates the 1-Click-Color Restoration JRC. Blue-and Rotstichigkeit old slides and a dark foreground can be lightened with 1 click. To find the proper scan settings, we had nowhere near as long as the experiment Nikon. So we have a few weeks to edit the remaining 1500 Dias, without it would have cost us time noticeably. For private souvenir photos we'd grab again to the easy-to-use Epson V600. Professional photographic purposes there may be better. The V600 provides sharp images on a 40 inch television, even the 2x zoom is still sharp enough. The colors do. The digitized images are to be considered beautiful on television than with slide projector and screen. Except slides in each Frame digitizes also filmstrip of all kinds and paper images and also managed the normal scanning tasks of a flatbed scanner.
