This LED now replaced a 5 Watt ESL, the permanently burning at night in the hallway outside the nursery. The savings potential mixing is small, but at the ESL me bugged the long wait until they finally had decent lighting. They also yielded only 180 lumens. The new LED is much more efficient and brings 250 lumens of 3 watts. The brightness is more like a classic 40 watt bulb as a 26 watt bulb, as stated on the pack.
A star deduction I give the following reasons:
- The color reproduction is (higher than 80 CRI) far from the classic light bulb despite a high index value. Depending on the application that is disturbing. But this is a general problem of all LEDs.
- The direction of radiation is bundled forward, a "flächigeres" softer light image is difficult to achieve especially in ceiling lights.
Therefore, the LED in sum is "pretty good", but it is in my opinion still not a full replacement for the classic light bulb. However, If you look at the technological advances that have occurred in recent years in this sector, should the two criticisms "color rendering" and "Beam" will soon be resolved.
For my specific use, the product is ok, but until I umrüste everything in the house to LED, needs to move a little technical.
