Overall, I think this album is not really bad, but Ed Sheeran is obviously still looking for the kind of music that he really wants to do. A musician who is able a spine-tingling song like "Thinking out loud" to compose and sing, wasted m. E. his talent to pseudo-rap songs like "The Man". If one asserts Sheeran defined by exactly this versatility, I would argue that his credibility will suffer. The album includes some really beautiful songs, so I forgive even three stars. A new Genius in singer-songwriter world must be in my ears but much more accurately identify where it actually wants the music!
