Edifier C2 vs. Logitech X230

I bought this system because it has offered for 60 euros exactly what I need: A flexible system with a 2.1 external amplifier unit that provides two analog inputs. This was the parallel use of TV and computer on a sound system no more obstacles ...

The amplifier unit has volume, treble and bass controls, a flawless headphone output (no noise), toggle button (to switch between the analog inputs), Standby button and volume indicator. I can only agree with the other reviewers, this system provides for its price a very good and balanced sound. The satellites are a good size for a PC speaker system and made of wood. Centers are also not perfect, but much better than most competitors 2.1. The subwoofer is precise and cautious, which I really appreciate. He is playing bass on how it should be: crisp, complementary and without rumble. The subwoofer complements the satellite very harmonious without dominating it. This makes the C2 so extraordinary in this price range. That is no way that the subwoofer is weak. Watch movies and play games with a lot of Bum Bum makes also fun, but for that I ask the depths higher. However, if you expected that the walls shake or generally prefers a very strong bass, which should not pick up the C2.

Here I bring the comparison to the X230 to now: That's a very different kind of bass. Dominierendend and strong here the subwoofer is always present, even on the lowest setting. Unfortunately, not as precise as the C2, rather pudgy and then fluently with no clear beginning or end. In addition, the small subwoofer the X230 at lower frequencies often fails when it tries to reproduce them heavily oversubscribed - then it roars only. Listening to music does here not in the least fun, but games and movies are conceivable. Ideally, one should hear the X230 sample only once. If one of the bass like it, then the Logitech systems are just the thing. Should the opposite be the case, Edifier is the right choice with its systems.

Overall, the Edifier C2 is exceptional in this price range and definitely worth a recommendation by the sound of her. The only thing that bothered me so far is to reset the settings when the system loses power.
