1) The USB 3.0 interface worked perfectly on my PC, I was able to reach 80 MB / s on some copies, to 40 out of auters, that's enough. ^^
2) The connection: too short for my taste (50cm), especially that even if a cable longer than was really necessary, and that a USB extension cord was used, the USB 3.0 speed was curbed! So disturbing problem
However, I have read many comments about his sensitivity, well I do not know if they have updated the design with complaints, or if I was lucky (because it must be noted that on (almost) all products including sold online, this tendency that is alternating between operational product / defective, suggests that companies have ratios ...), but mine remains well down on the 2 sides without play or bad contacts ...
3) Sustainability & Resistance: first, it is important to note that a DD (internal external cô) must be isolated as much as possible of all motion / shock / vibration Especially in operation! By manipulating the spins during it, there is potential risk of the snap irreversibly and lose all its data.
So far (11 months after purchase), mine works perfectly, after falling to half on my foot and by terrea hip height, 1 time.
4) Additional details:
- If you have concerns about the total size of storage (only 39 GB partition for example, I've had), it is because there is a hidden partition (pk I do not know, just to FAT32 / NTFS seems).
- To overcome this, you need to use software like EaseUS Partition Manager or MiniTool Partition Manager to configure partitions of your HDD under Windows, because Windows (as precedents 8.1) does not offer sufficient features for this prb.
- To reveal a hidden partition, you must re-assign him a letter.
I recommend to format / partitions to NTFS, FAT32 is old and no advantage other than compatibility with some devices (MACs, PS3 ....).
So I was fully satisfied with the DDE :)
