The Walimex Video Light can be powered by 4 AA batteries or a 5V power supply. Both the light is not on. For me, I chose the battery version, since I'm so independent and cable for the only down-to-use and rich the batteries removed after use and stored separately, for months.
Can be attached to light either on the hot shoe of a camera or by 'inch thread on a tripod. The slot for the hot shoe has a stable locking wheel, so the light remains where it is and the camera can be moved freely.
My camcorder has no hot shoe for example, because then I need a tripod for the lamp.
Compared to flash my Canon EOS 1200D, the photo results with the LED light will be colder and more realistic. Often was a clear red by lightning to a warm orange-red in rooms. I had to try by various settings to change or edit the PC later.
Even the children in rooms with only a ceiling light videos were no longer really well lit at night in the room corners. Since helps that the lamp is dimmable, so you will not always be around with a Stage Light but actually only produces as much light as you need and want.
The lamp is made entirely of plastic, the disc in front of the 64 LEDs of milky plastic. But what bothers me that when a device its task as well as met here.
The back, which completely serves as the battery compartment cover is held on the housing with a locking lever and even to an intervention for the fingernail for easier opening the back was thought.
Conclusion:
The lamp has everything you need as an occasional hobby filmmakers: an on-off switch, an infinitely dimmable, clear light and even a DC 5V jack. Everything is permanently installed, nothing rattles or wobbles and it fulfills its task to my complete satisfaction.
Professionals and frequent filmmakers are however more professional, but also more expensive lamps grab.
