This charger charges your Sony Xperia Z1 Compact using the tight side contacts and the magnet to ensure physical contact. It comes with 2 wedges of different thicknesses depending on your shell / protection. In the case of our phone, I did not put shim because the cover is thick enough. And it holds up well while recharging. Very happy with this product 3 times cheaper than the original.
