What has impressed me most is the low noise sensor
The X-A1 allows photos from 100 ISO up to 25,600 ISO over the range of 100-1600 ISO, we must not think here, as it has grown and full frame and complies with the most demands on magnification capable, fine photos.
When I compare brutal with full size (EOS 5D3), is immediately apparent that the small Fuji even at ISO 25600 shows less color noise than the large EOS.
But this picture is muddy and shows no more and is ultimately useless details.
I need to increase the focus on plus 1 in the Fuji X-A1 and then the color noise acts again apparent.
The full-frame camera can I use to 12,800 ISO, low noise and good sharpness of detail, the Fuji X-A1 after all also to 6400 ISO with a sharpening setting of +1.
In printed poster, the differences are then of little consequence, but the larger sensor size remains at an advantage.
And compared to the small MFT sensor?
Olympus and Panasonic to build highly innovative and fast cameras, but the sensors have just halved the sensor area compared to Fuji. And the image to image comparison from 1600 ISO then this difference can also be seen clearly, Fuji provides more details with less contrast and is in ISO 6400 considerably less noise and more detailed. Those who want to achieve high image quality is traveling with the Fujifilm XR system better value than Micro Four Thirds cameras and still significantly lighter than the road with full frame.
Each system has its advantages and indeed varies best to use. With the current Fuji XR system with around 20 different lenses I see for me the main advantages in Super Wide and reportage area. There is a very good and inexpensive 2.8 / 8mm Fisheye Samyang / Walimex / Rokinon and soon the Fujinon 4,0 / 10-24 mm OIS.
The sensors are very good in low light and provide beautiful JPEG photos (and not just what RAWs yes today almost every camera).
The weakness of the system lies in my view in the telephoto range and also the standard zooms so far not satisfy me really.
In telephoto range, the Fuji can not really be compact and a 55-200 mm and 50-230 mm zoom fortiori the are was not good enough and very large at maximum aperture.
Here the MFT system has the advantages on his side.
Better low-light zoom as 2,8 / 16-55 mm and 2.8 / 50-140 mm are in construction.
Light & Shadow:

+ Good operability
+ Pretty fast autofocus in daylight
+ Very good rotatable display
+ WiFi
+ Filter Effects
SHADOW:
- Partial support AF in low light
- Noise reduction is expected to act more gently
- Size, tactile and material of a few buttons great need of improvement
- Very little flash output
- Not an option on a viewfinder
- No Panorama & no HDR program
- Menu very gray and less user-friendly
- WiFi only without remote possibility

Modern cameras split even further into their characteristics and performance than before. From a best camera for all recording purposes we are still farther away than ever.
The Fuji X-A1 is a very effective starter with high image quality, all system cameras from Sony, Nikon, Canon, Samsung lets you forget easily and can deliver as all Micro Four Thirds cameras, the visibly better image quality.
But as soon as a subject is moving, or Macro shots are needed, I would prefer an MFT camera and while traveling I find the MFT systems practical, although the achievable image quality through the Fuji sensor has more potential.
When it comes to the naked image quality, the Fuji cameras are obviously the best compromise for the full-frame DSLRs. For portraits and landscape motifs, architecture and photography in low light, the Fuji cameras come into their own trump cards.
Even though I am not fully satisfied with the attainable quality and faintness of the two cheaper zooms, but I still would not recommend necessarily for kit with telephoto 50-230 mm. Because for so little money (700) you get nowhere else as much image quality with two good zoom lenses.
