Ego shooter!? Not my thing. Until now.

I'm more like the Tomb Raider - Uncharted - God of War type. Action, Jump and run and like to an RPG like Final Fantasy in between.
When my brother was then bought Far Cry 2, I've been there gambles out of interest times. Perhaps half an hour, FPS are just not my world. 1st person already not.

Now he came to with Far Cry 3. "What the hell" I thought. "If it's already there, you play it just once on. Have already a lot of positives from part."

Two weeks later I had the story. Yes, the trained person shooter gamer creates to lengths faster than I little novice but I wanted you rather convey my enthusiasm for this game.

Work - Far Cry 3 - sleeping. And that was before I carried.

The story is so gripping told that you do not want to stop.
Only the development of Jason, the protagonist, who asked not to understand at the beginning what will happen. That he killed. And then continues to harden and rows of villains - naturally - flips.
The emotional track, I find it very successful, the psychological burden of the individual characters who were kidnapped and held captive is shown convincingly.

And then there's Vaas. Wow, what impressed me for an impressive character, alone its definition of "insanity" and its representation as a person. A Psycho par excellence - but somehow even in a fancy way. Best Antagonist long, really great cinema!

Very nice to look at, of course, is the island on which FC3 happening. Graphically Top - there is nothing to complain about.
The atmosphere is well done and it's fun to explore the area by Jason.
Here and there mal ne side mission, sometimes climb NEN Funkturm, take a bearing or an animal hunt and skin and further propel the story as needed. Absolute user-friendly freedom to do what ever you feel like. Traveling on foot, by car, by gliders, ...? They have a choice and I guess so on Far Cry. 3

In particular, the mission has remained in my memory, in which you should burn in the background rang .. Hemp suddenly reggae music. But coordinated so fantastic, just epic. The sound is great, the synchronization 1A.

And then of course the shooting - I, as a first-person shooter newcomer. Have I done something hard the first 2-3 hours but I did not think that I einfinde me so quickly.
Shooting itself, I know her from Uncharted, Tomb Raider, however. Only you can of course do not put in a direct comparison.
I was very surprised at how user-friendly the whole was designed. It also comes as an inexperienced quickly with clear, on the one hand with the control, on the other hand, I quickly developed tactics, what weapons I what best insets, where I rather ranschleiche how I care for distraction better and which stations I would rather something shun until I'm better geskillt.

Conclusion?
As an avid gamer, which is, however, never been really a first-person shooter in connection, I am probably more than impressed!
You can quickly deal with the control. The game world itself is designed properly. Man has always wanted a little surprise when you stroll unsuspectingly through the area and has a crocodile suddenly to hang on when: D
And Vaas is probably just about the best character that the game has to offer.
Strong buy recommendation, even if you - is otherwise not very fond of first-person shooters - like me. Far Cry 3 is the hammer!
