At least in one of the rooms, my workshop, starters Osram 111, bugged the two-time flicker prior to ignition of the passage tube.
So in the workshop one of the Osram 111 Starter tentatively replaced by Philips S10E.
In the laundry room both Osram 111 replaced by Philips and Philips S10 S10E.
As the result did not convince me, in addition goodbay Flicker-free instant starter for fluorescent lamps 4-58 watts tried.
Temperature in both rooms the year almost constant 19.5 degrees,
Tubes had to the Einschaltversuchen least 30 minutes rest.
Operating voltage 230 V
Result workshop:
-Philips S10E, the tube ignites after about 2 seconds by right, the short pre-heating ensures already for some lighting.
-Osram111, The tube is flickering prior to firing twice, time about 2.5 seconds.
-Goodbay, This starter ignites the fastest without flickering, stopped manually approximately 0.5 seconds. During the 0.5 seconds on slight flicker.
During the ignition process, so the 0.5 second is to hear a strong humming.
Result laundry:
-Philips S10E, the tube ignites after about 2 seconds directly, even briefly clearly visible, the preheating of the heating coils.
-Philips S10, also starts almost immediately, however, without the prior glowing of the filaments, Time about 3 S
-Goodbay, This starter ignites the fastest without flickering, stopped manually approximately 0.5 seconds. During the 0.5 seconds on slight flicker.
During the ignition process, so the 0.5 second is to hear a strong humming.
The question is:
Is that the result described price difference of 2.10 euros to Osram111 PhilipsS10E 5.95 Euro 3.95 Euro so (More) value or Goodby 6.40 Euro 4.30 Eueo more.
To my experience with life, I notice the unanhängig from starters, the tubes have kept in our cellar until now more than 10 years.
Some did not use every day, namely 8 lights in our attic from my previous old workshop, even 35 years old.
The Goodbystarter I would prefer for corridor, workshop, laundry room lighting or for rooms where several individual fluorescent tubes hanging a equip it; so that at least one light is immediately light. Keywords accident prevention.
The Philips S10E last to me for the described results simply too expensive.
Before appropriate comments arrive, yes, I know about the durability problem depending on ignition cycle, but it can not verify.
Nevertheless, durability or other problems: If here, as always grudge with my reviews. Promised!
