After my old has given up the ghost after years - the concrete base was broken and crumbled out in individual parts - had to get a new. Locally in the relevant branded hardware stores I was not able to find - but cheap optical scrap or expensive (from 80) and me reasonably appealing ... that did not meet both my ideas.
And so I looked in the extensive range here on Amazon - a brass-colored with reading lamp and dimmable bulbs should already be. The cheapest and here often bought for about 40 liked not really, and so I stayed with this one hanging - fit the alabaster color-marbled glass of the lampshades as well as the visual impression of the entire floodlight - and so I ordered it - almost Two days later he was there.
The delivery took place in its original packaging without further neutral packaging - as it was also described. But that was no problem, because when unpacking I noticed happily noted that all parts very carefully fitted into a Styrofoam form and almost everything and hoses and partly wrapped in bubble wrap were again in Plastiktüten-. All made with the packing a high impression - 5 Stars to the manufacturer before it.
From opening the package to the first switching on after a successful construction went with me for about 30 minutes - you wanted it indeed make orderly and carefully scratching about anything. The construction alone is not a problem - a couple would certainly stand only in the way. The structure was relatively simple - a few small "problems" I had the "threading through" the two pipe rods through the brass-colored ground cover and then through the concrete base. Here you had to watch out a little, that you can not scratch the pipe rod ends when threading the bottom cover.
The floodlights burned then so - the enclosed lamps were intact and if I my new uplight so look at me ... Yes, I like it! :-)
By alabaster glass lampshades he makes a valued and quite right noble impression. He does not look cheap, the processing is in my view also fine - a good buy and the price / performance ratio is in my view in order.
The transformer I hear not - neither when I ask both lamps at full power, even if I dimme.
The only thing that bothers me a bit is the only 28-watt reading light. I'm used to from my predecessor when reading a 50 watt reflector lamp and it was last night when readers a magazine but a little strange duster. ;-) Why I bought today a hat-trick 40 watt G9 bulbs for 1.99 in a local grocery store and think that I will now have sufficient light evening reading. I hope that the reading lamp is not damaged by the higher wattage, but at a pinch one can dim a little.
So all in all a good buy an optically elegant and high quality acting powered ceiling lamp at a fair price - from me 5 stars and a buy recommendation. :-)
