Strengths:
- Design neat and elegant.
- The gold version is not too (color that pulls silver, white, what I was looking, which contrasts nicely with the black edges).
- Feels solid and durable.
- Perfectly adapted to the Nexus 5, which semboîte simply and perfectly inside. The openings are in place (jack, camera, flash, usb jack, loudspeaker etc.). The input jack 3.5 is sufficiently broad contrary to what I read in other reviews (I tested three headsets / earphones different, and no problem getting back to the inside).
- Not too thick, not too heavy nor too large. I was really afraid of that but I find instead that the size and weight are reasonable for such protection. On the contrary, I find the handling of the Nexus 5 easier, and reassuring.
- Not too slippery. Javais read in other tests that He was a criticism that was sometimes done to him. Well no, I do not find it too slippery. The grip is reassuring for me. Instead, I found the back of the Nexus 5 naked, certainly pleasant, but a little too sticky or taping, or rubbery, especially out dune pants pocket (he tended to rip, undermined drag, which once or twice my given a few scares). The golden part is certainly smooth but this does not pose a problem in terms of handling, no risk of leaving the device séchapper (unless to have very sweaty hands maybe). Once again, the grip is much more secure than the Nexus 5 naked, that seemed too thin to me (a paradox), too fragile, and uncertain grip.
- True protection against impact, not just against scratches like most other shells, certainly a little thinner but which actually protect anything except simple stripes. With that shell, it nhésite more to ask the Nexus 5 rather sharply or the "abuse" a little (the camera is obviously more than the back of the device), we have the impression that it is on cushions dair, which is reassuring. All sides are well protected, high and low range.
Weak points:
- A little sharp curbs. Javais seen it in a test in English, but I thought ny too. At first I did not realize men have actually but the edges are a bit "sharp" in the long run. After several hours of use jai sometimes felt discomfort in the palm of the hand in the thumb. This is related to lower shell (black area) a little too sharp, not flexible enough or rounded. Ditto for the sides of the golden party deserved BE rounded for a more comfortable grip. Nothing too embarrassing but since I havent felt this problem in dune continuous and prolonged use of the smartphone.
- A little hard buttons. The on / off button and volume buttons work well, but the feeling is not the same as the Nexus 5 nude. With this shell, the buttons seem a bit rubbery when pressed, we didnt really senfoncent impression of buttons that they do not "click" and they are a little hard. Jai however impression quaprès several days of use they have a tendency to saméliorer and better respond. Nothing dramatic, however, since the buttons respond perfectly but we would have appreciated a better feel, and a little less hard when pressed.
