After 4 years of waiting, it is with great pleasure that we found Adamsberg and all the characters of her office, including Danglard the infallible memory or Veyrenc amateur poetic Alexandrian.
So Adamsberg is called by his Commissioner colleagues for help about a suicide, it will be at the center of two intertwined plots, such a "ball of seaweed." On one side of murders disguised suicide from each corpse a special sign (a schematic guillotine) that lead investigators to an original association. The latter revived under theatrical form, the great debates of the French Revolution. Robespierre, Danton, Desmoulins, Couthon and others are interpreted by members as ritualized forms. From the other side, a decade-old tragedy that took place on a small island to the aura of the fantastic off Iceland.
It will take all the patience, the gruff charm, strangeness "préverienne" and digressions of "pelleteur clouds", which will require his drawing skills, to get to unravel the son of this fantastic mystery and to finally reaffirm his power over the team somewhat destabilized by his obsession to follow his idea in defiance of all. Among the finds we can appreciate especially the first name of the boar that is on the photograph jacket. Note the title is enigmatic, although it can be assumed it a distant relationship with Iceland.
The downside, however. The outcome, quite choppy, probably seem likely to miss more than one player.
