Which epilator model is right for you?
What the model diversity in the Braun Silk Epil concerns 7 devices this with the new scrub brush attachment (to my mind) due to the extensive equipment worth a recommendation. With the growth of hairs - after epilation - I have always been no major problems, at least no sites of inflammation. If hairs are sometimes waxed, they are also using this soft Sonic Brush not dissolved, but the skin is peeled but clean, but recommended only to less sensitive areas.
From my experience: It comes with all epilators (regardless of manufacturer) before that hair is not completely torn but canceled / demolished; even with my thick dark hair. I never noticed that, however, a negative effect on --- what counts for me is the result, and how quickly and reliably do I get there. For 7 devices are ideally suited in principle all Silk-Epil; they exist in various equipment features, with more or less additional essays. Here the comparison of models worth definitely!
This brown model offers the new Sonic scrub brush and many essays have a reliable shaving / Trim-essay I practically as scary - as reliable - feel. But now to the individual points:

Scrub brushes:
I personally do not find them so incredibly necessary, but may be that I have done for a while using an error and on the other hand, I use a different, much more effective (and extremely expensive) peeling method (with care effect). But first things first ...
+/- Exfoliating busts may not be used on the face (in the instructions) In my experience, even the Peelen décolleté questionable !!
+++++ Massage-like feel, if you so exfoliates thighs or legs.
+++++ Dry and wet application are possible.
+++++ Essay is easy to handle / aufzustecken, and even under water (a little soap is advisable!) To clean.
+/- My experience with the scrub brush - a little more detail:
I have made the first attempt at the neckline and the result I was able to two days long look in the mirror: Extremely red skin. I will no longer use this brush for it.
Next attempt, a day after epilation (only one) bone, more specifically lower leg. Here I recognize unfortunately no groundbreaking differences ... The advantage might have to be that after epilation the hair not grow so. This problem I know, but if two hairs are grown at once on the whole leg, then that's a lot. I rubbele the skin after showering / bathing always with hard towels off and treat the skin at least once a month with a Salzeinreibung, or a basic mineral treatment (honey + base salt mixture). --- Alone therefore I see this scrub brush on not necessary.
A test I made with the peeling attachment once in the bathtub. The really looked successful. You can on the (wet) recognize exfoliating brush downright that skin is abgeschuppt what eg works very effectively on the thighs, or upper arms. However, I must restrict equal: It takes forever with this method. Much faster is a very simple bath sponge, with Peeing attachment or a real loofah. (Even more effective are certainly also some exfoliating cream concoctions ...)

Elipierer / Shaver (Trimmer):
+++++ The epilating create relatively quickly very effktiv "which way"!
++ Short hairs - 0.5mm - make it so, but because we must also be patient! (Here is the LED light a big help.)
+++++ The package includes all important Epilieraufsätze! (Importantly, the narrow top, if you want to epilate in the armpits !!! whether to epilate in the face is questionable for me. I'm not doing it.)
+++++ Shaver head with trimmer function is included. I'm excited for years and years, because I use this trimmer regularly and therefore need no extra equipment. (Regular maintenance as described in the instructions provided: Clean Tidy, regrease) Spare parts for the shaving head can be obtained at Brown!
+++++ The Wet & Dry epilator from Braun operate on battery (but with no cable) and you can use the device in the shower and bath. This is unbeatable in terms of convenience. I was skeptical at first but a few times relaxed epilation in the bath have me but then convinced.
+++++ The small LED light has proved to be extremely helpful. Even in daylight you can see them even more small hairs!
+/- The on / off switch is still getting used to for me even 3 years. There are 2 stages and I must confess even that I always turn to stage II.
+/- The model with battery power has my feeling a lower start-up power than the same model with cable. While using the appliance you realize that not the result, but only the fact that the device is running with constant cable. That always gives me the impression that the cordless tools something "lame" work, but as I said: This is such a feeling, which luckily the result - smooth legs - no effect.

Battery Life:
+++++ According to statement one can work 40 minutes trying. Legs (completely) and armpits - estimated take 30 minutes if you proceed very meticulously. Otherwise, I'm done rather quickly with legs + shoulders. - The device (comparable model from 2010) creates even after more than 2 years. Here I can therefore also not fault the battery-Fatigue.
Charge the battery? If of course you do regularly - otherwise you will be warned about a red flashing light when it comes towards the end.
My advice: Immediately after use, back to the station (I invite mostly during the day, then the cleaned device back white in the beautiful (supplied) bag With this method I've never had problems that I wanted epilation without the battery. was charged.

For battery operation - important to know!
***** The battery is with this device according to instructions (!) Can not be replaced! If he no longer should work one day, is theoretically the appliance scrap. Must also as special (not regular garbage can!) To be disposed of. (Who does not like - Brown also has a very good model with cable, then without WET function (wet application) to: Braun Silk-épil 5 5780 epilator - with dual comfort system and 5 essays (including shaving and trimming attachment))
Tip: By now seen on the net instructions on how to replace the battery. (See comment!) When it comes one day so far, I will try that. So far (and I have a similar model for 2 years running. Easy!) That was not necessary.

General information on epilation:
I will make no epilation palatable or persuade someone to do so. Whether epilation, shaving or waxing? You should decide.
WERDAS epilation finds it too painful, is also experience with this device no miracles. What you perhaps somewhat comforting: If you often depilated, the pain decreases. This has been confirmed to me now some girlfriends. Others see it not even to an epilation who shave your legs once in two weeks --- that I envy, because my hair is dark and thick and strong growth ...

Hair less by epilation? - No! That is nonsense. The hair grow after epilation to - but they just do not grow so stubbly after and it affects - if you let it grow back for weeks ä- irregular. In any case, is the result (as for me) one week long -> worth seeing and feeling!
Incidentally, I epiliere in summer often every other day. In the morning shortly after showering two minutes suffice since. In winter it's more every two weeks (though this is not abgefrühstückt then in two minutes).

What is now the advantage to be depilated? (My knowledge;)
Advantage 1: ... that the legs feel more smooth, and I find the stubble grow back after shaving as downright cruel. (Waxing is not even eligible for giant effort (also associated with pain).
Advantage 2: costs! Shaving blades I feel as waste. The really good (well-known) are really expensive, the cost is less effective, cause injury and cause even more waste. An epilator device is a purchase for 4 to 5 years. During the same period a bucket incurred razor, with correspondingly high costs.
Whoever manages to epilation even under the armpits can save even more so with such a device. (I have only bought a pack of disposable razors in the last year, because I do not keep the epilating underarms and it is added -. Somewhat painful)

What else?
Prior to epilation cleanse the skin (shower or a bath would be optimal) - warm washing glove or a wet cloth lend themselves also excellent.
After epilation - Apply at least a lotion, or again with wipes on the then very sensitive skin.
If you have a Wet & Dry appliance is to epilate pure luxury while relaxing. Since everything is done in a washing. And after that a moisturizing lotion on it - that feels fantastic and should also prevent against inflammation.
