This extremely popular recordings by the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of the exceptional conductor Carlos Kleiber was 1974/1976 and enjoys excellent sound quality. It's rare to me like so hard to find the right words for a CD, however, this is one of the best, most memorable and most timeless recordings of classical music. It takes hardly necessary to mention that Kleiber Wiener foments to peak performance that he nuanced color and warm and that it sets tailored accents. It is self-explanatory that his conducting always contrast and multifaceted designed so that the presentation is animated, unleashed, differentiated by the Vienna and totally transparent and that the internal stress of the plants is increased to the maximum.
These services apply all the more in the light of the seventh symphony, of which there probably are no more empathic interpretation. Just listen to only the overwhelming power and dynamics in the Presto and the final! But even with the much battered Fifth Kleiber remains unchallenged, even if the competition became by Abbado with the Berlin and the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Gardiner with romantique larger and moved closer. Never before has anyone can achieve a greater contrast within this work, never has someone in intensive mixed in this.
Conclusion: Kleiber epochal interpretation of these two classic repertoire continues to retain its existence - as a reference, perhaps for eternity ...
