So I have made myself to the search for the right monitor for me. I knew that the monitor when I already locally bind me to a desk, is said to have at least 24 inches. I also wanted to monitor the costs under or around 300 euros, IPS panel technology used and especially the sRGB color space can be as good as possible imaging (ie 100% or close to 100%).
I quickly discovered the Montiore to 300 Euro not all my wishes to be 100% and satisfy my "dream monitors" all are well above my budget.
Before a bit more than half a year, I then saw on Amazon this monitor in the flash range. This gave me her fallen off the appearance immediately. The frameless look (which I was not disappointed) has promised me the same. The brushed stainless steel finish is very attractive and a nice change from the typical black and piano finish which is currently all over Germany.
With 220 Euro (for flash range) of the monitor was totally in my budget. Also this point, since he was used IPS panel technology meets. Now all that remained was the sRGB color spectrum to be clarified.
The sRGB color space is a standard from Adobe which is used as the color standard for many output devices and with appropriate calibration ensures that the pictures, for example. be sent by me to the photo lab of my choice after printing also look "exactly" how I saw it on my monitor ... besides sRGB, there are other (larger) color spectra which my research but rather to include exotics. for print media or even more color spaces like Adobe RGB. I looked and saw that they accept Although Adobe RGB, use as the default sRGB but on the homepage of the photofinishing lab. In addition, the color space is sRGB and images which is used on the Internet that have been edited with Adobe RGB and saved shared over the Internet (eg. On Google+) with under Catastrophic ausschauen since the color space incorrectly "translated" is.
Unfortunately, there was at the time of my purchase no tests on the monitor which also details how much% of the sRGB color space, the monitor can reproduce. But the existing tests and reviews on Amazon have spoken for this monitor and I've just risked and purchased the Monitor. With the thought that if the monitor does not fit it just eventually (when my wife allows me) this monitor my 2nd monitor and I buy a new better for photo editing.
To this day I have not regretted that decision.
The processing of the monitor makes a good impression. The touch keys work without any problems and the menu is quite self-explanatory. I like the frameless look, and in comparison with the Monitor my wife has a framework which I can see a little more of an image when I look on both monitors, the same picture in full screen mode. There really is not much but around each about 2-3mm more viewing area that are visible by the lack of a frame.
I bought at the same time the monitor is also a color calibration device. Here, I have decided for the Spyder4Pro Datacolor. The result of the calibration is shown which can display the monitor 97% of the sRGB color space, even though I use a HDMI cable which is probably slightly negative effect. This value is myself fully satisfied. In this price range I have found with a higher result since yet no monitor. Currently I would buy exactly the same monitor again if I were looking for a second monitor.
However, a feature of this monitor I noticed negative. The built-in speakers are not very good as expected. But since I do not enter from the front before the built-in speakers had to use but rather use my speaker system, this does not flow negative in my review here. I wanted it should only mention anyone looking for a monitor with built-in speakers. Music from the speakers sound very flat, the speakers are mounted on the underside. What is the wrong place in my opinion. Need to listen to music through the speakers in a 13 sqm space to the already quite bring to its limits, and since the sound quality suffers even more. To watch a video and to play the sound from the speakers, however, they are sufficient ...
As the speakers have no meaning for me they do not flow in my assessment. For the rest of this monitor from AOC has earned 5 out of 5 points from me. If anyone is interested in the different calibration results have (Adobe RGB), please leave a comment and I'll just like the values or also screenshots of the result items.
I hope to have you helped with this review and I would be glad if you click on this review to "YES". If there should still be questions, of course, I am happy at your disposal and will try it as soon as possible to answer me.
