This "Lightroom 3 by doing" is an outstanding complement to theoretical work on Lightroom, including that of Martin Evening which I highly recommend. The author has even achieved the feat of more than 50 pages devoted to issues related to cataloging, essential but delicate matter, and suitable a priori wrong with practical exercises. Part 5 on workflow optimization also contains important elements that are not found in other books, including the presentation of valuable plugins LR / LR Mogrify and / Enfuse. Finally, the reading of this book is as instructive as pleasant, the author mastering perfectly the topic and having made a good choice of issues to explore. To go even further, and video, the same author has recorded for Video2Brain comprehensive training on Lightroom 3, which is another way to dive into the bowels of the software. The book by Martin Evening paper associated with practical training and video Gilles Théophile seem to me to be the ideal triplet to go very far in the knowledge of Lightroom.
