About the HD700, I confirm the findings of previous reviews:
- A very comfortable, we hardly feel it, it does not tire, even after several hours of listening,
- A sound very airy with good bass present without being exaggerated. It seems more "Basseux" that Sennheiser oldest, who were on the point of view of greater neutrality. Fad? We also see it with Momentum. This is not bad, quite the contrary, perhaps because it compensates a little the lack of experienced "physical" bass when listening with headphones?
- Compared with the Momentum, which is nevertheless an excellent Walkman headphones, there's actually no picture, sound escapes completely and gives the impression of a listening room. After the HD700, the Momentum gives the impression of having the instrument or orchestra "in the head".
But it is definitely a headset to listen quietly at home: it isolates little outside noise, and requires a "serious" amplifier. I tried it on my smartphone, rendering is catastrophic, and I fear that its impedance 150 ohm is a little hard to digest by most players. Personally, I listen on my PC through an ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card, the result seems perfect. Even MP3 "standard" at 44.1 KHz do not sound so uncomfortably, even if it is obviously even better with the original CD!
I conclude with some compliments for the Amazon seller:
- Firstly a barrel price compared to the competition,
- And unfortunately few arias to the command (denied several times for security reasons not flagrant, but they certainly have reason to be cautious), problems that have allowed me to experience the seriousness of the helpdesk Amazon Fast response to emails, telephone contact when necessary, and finally solving the problem to my complete satisfaction.
