The Niolox blade steel is extremely hard and can be, as expected, with the usual grinding stones, whether water or oil stone sharpen only with much effort and patience. Who already sharpen the D2 steel trouble had it needs not to try with the Niolox only. He should be equal access to ceramic or diamond sharpeners. But the knife is extremely long sharp. For example, My Foxtrot One (D2 steel) I have sanded the last time six months ago, I use it almost every day and it has hardly lost its sharpness.
The Mike One is slightly smaller, lighter and somewhat führiger as the great foxtrot. The Niolox steel, counter-D2 steel, stainless and even a little harder. I'll probably therefore from now something more with Mike One work.
Those looking for a well-made knife with high practical value is well served by Mike One.
